I wasn't as bad before that game, I was always more of a sunshine pumper. I got so disgusted during and after that game it changed me. The adminstration disgusted me, the coaches disgusted me and the players disgusted me. The search only made it all worse.

Haha, just giving you a hard time. Mine hit half way thru 2016.

I got so mad at the team itself during the Vandy game. My disgust with them has caused me much hatred on VN. It would have been better if they had all just just staged a walkout and forfeited the game to protest the ineptness of their leadership, than to go out there and let freaking Vanderbilt stomp their face on the mud like that. I have grown to have a little more understanding since then, but I just cant give them a total pass like nearly everybody else does.

Oh I get it. I gave up much earlier than that. I had no faith after 2016. Then when we couldn't even fire our coach before Florida did I just about lost all hope. By the time the coaching search happened I was so numb to it I really wasn't affected. I didn't start caring again until Currie got fired and Fulmer stepped up. But I'm always willing to give full support until given reason not to. So once that happened and Pruitt was hired, I was all in again.

I hope the players really have grown some fight, I want to see how this bunch reacts when it gets tough..will they quit on Pruitt? I really hope not, and he won't put up with it. Everybody jumps on me for saying that, but I just want to see them show gumption. I don't care so much about the record, they can play hard and still lose, but I want to see them fighting till the end..no quitting.

I like what I'm hearing and seeing so far, but let us see how they do this year. They cannot use bad coaching as an excuse anymore.

You're absolutely right. If these players still haven't developed under this staff then we will know it wasn't just previous coaching, but also they were overrated. But I can't imagine we have that much bad luck to have over 40+ guys, who were *4 on atleast one of the services all be flops. If we're just that unlucky, then Fulmer needs to bring in an exorcist or whomever to rid us of the bad ju-ju. Somebody had to piss off the football God's if we have that recruiting luck, the injuries run and string of bad luck with HC's since Fulmer. Maybe hiring Fulmer as AD broke whatever the hell it was.

“i was just very appreciative, and just thanks to god for allowing me to get that offer,” cox said of the offer from auburn. “it means a lot, but i still have a firm commitment to tennessee. “i’m going to take more visits, just to enjoy recruiting. But i still have a firm commitment.”

“they talked to me that day i got the (auburn) offer,” cox said of the vols. "it was just making sure i still had my head straight, wasn’t planning on decommitting or anything like that. I told them i’m still committed firm. I’m ‘go vols.’ it’s pretty much a firm commitment. I wasn’t trying to decommit or anything like that. “it just feels like home. And the coaching staff, i love it.”

cox said he’s planning to return to tennessee on june 20 to spend more time with the vols and participate in one of their camps, “just to see how it’s like” to work with defensive line coach tracy rocker and the rest of tennessee’s staff. He most recently traveled to knoxville the weekend of april 21 to attend their spring-ending orange and white game. “it was great. I enjoyed it,” he said of his latest trip to tennessee.

“it feels like home, and i feel like, once i go up there, the coaching staff will treat me like their own. I just really loved it up there. “(i liked) the fans, the coaches, the players — just everything — and the big stadium. It’s a fun town. I’m excited to be almost a part of that.”
