I heard similar stories from the Sentence Fragment Division of the Department of Redundancy Department. The way I look at it, we were very lucky to not have been nailed when Fulmer was here as HC. There's no secret that a lot of money and benefits were given out during his tenure. He was very fortunate to have Roy Kramer watching his back, like Saban when he had Mark Emmert watching his. I graduated with 2 different people that worked in the AD department when Fulmer was there and the stories I heard from both of them and a former Walk on that played at UT in the 90's. He was just a walk on that never got any meaningful snaps and he even had a little pocket change and non campus meals. Similar to what Foster said about Fulmer getting him Taco Bell and making sure his guys never starved. And his sidekick wasn't a secret amongst the players. The way I see it, we never got busted but very easily could have. And it wouldn't have been a little slap on the rwrist and a fine. With the $hit we got away with, I can't really get upset when other schools get lesser punishments or none. The level of stuff that went on when Fulmer was HC would have been borderline Death Penalty type sanctions. Thank you Roy Kramer!!
Bama ? ohio state? if those teams dont hvae equal talent your just cutting hairs and it doesnt work like that.... also bama and ohio state had much more talent at quaterback. QB is the most important position along with ol/dl in my opinion. cant hate on what kirby has down down there.... How many times has saban had the most talented team and not won..... plenty and hes considered to be the best college coach ever.He didn’t play anyone with equal talent. Lol
He didn’t play bama last year but yeah Ohio state is somewhat close. They weren’t even top 10 recruiting in 2019 though while Georgia was 1 or 2 every year.Bama ? ohio state? if those teams dont hvae equal talent your just cutting hairs and it doesnt work like that.... also bama and ohio state had much more talent at quaterback. Heupel trusts his staff’s evaluations more than the “evaluations” of recruiting services. You should be thankful for that because star ratings aren’t based on independent evaluations of recruiting services. If they were, 247 “evaluators” would be getting hired away by top college programs and NFL franchises since the ratings are such a good projection of a player’s upside. But you have to understand that the ratings are based how heavily players are recruited by the coaches that recruiting services trust. Heupel will sink or swim depending on how many of HIS guys he lands and if his staff’s evaluations are on point. Once he and his staff develop a reputation of making good evaluations, his recruits will begin getting bumps in the ratings. But remember we "won't overpay for anyone" so apparently we are going to let the chips fall where they may and lose kids and just be happy with who we get according to the narrative on here lately... IMO, Heup may be treading on a slippery slope because if we start slipping or going backwards because of lack of talent, he won't have any excuses because apparently he is choosing to not overpay and banking on competing with GA and AL year in and year out with a less talented roster... Wonder how long that will last?
c.simmons this am4-star EDGE Jordan Ross
Commitment date: Aug. 21
The buzz: Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Texas are the finalists for Jordan Ross. He has been linked to Florida in the past, but there has not been buzz around the four-star EDGE out of Birmingham (Ala.) Vestavia Hills and the Gators over the last month and a half. Tennessee has long been considered a top three school for Ross and the Vols have been trending since the official visit in June. Ross has always been open to leaving his home state and the Vols hope to capitalize on that Monday night.
