A summer of offseason work has only solidified Vestavia Hills’ coach Robert Evans’ opinion of star EDGE Jordan Ross. “If things continue to go well and he develops consistently, he will be a Sunday player,” Evans said. “No question about that.”

...“Jordan played about 210 last year,” Evans said. “He’s put on 20 pounds of good weight and is still explosive and twitchy. He’s going to be 250-260 as a sophomore or junior in college. There is a premium in every level of football on guys who can get after and disrupt the quarterback, and that is what Jordan is naturally gifted at. He has those raw attributes everyone is looking for in a player.”

Ross, the No. 9 player on AL.com’s A-List of top senior prospects in the state, had 49 tackles for Vestavia in 2022 with 16 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks. He also added several forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns. “He’s got a high-end motor where he will go until he just can’t go anymore,” Evans said recently. “When he’s after the quarterback and he’s fresh, there aren’t many people like him around the country, really, in high school football.”

Boom! Ross/Lindstrom the Young/Baron duo of the future. Add that to what we got last year in Hobbs, Bradley, and Herring and d-line depth a few years on doesn’t look too bad. Hopefully Duncan and/or Robinson turn into the monsters Rodney thinks they can as well.
I like seeing him mentioned ... Just my opinion, but I think Kellen Lindstrom is the most underrated player on Tennessee's Class of 2024 commitment list. His film is impressive. He isn't talked about much on VN.

That's because you're not good if you're not a 5* (blue font). I still would like to add Danny Okoye to this current class.

I think the staff knows how to recruit. I watched Gentle's highlights also. He looks like a really good prospect. Granted it is only highlights and they don't come close to telling the full story of a player but he looked quicker and more athletic than Franklin. Franklin is just a little bigger and maybe more violent when he tackles but Gentle definitely looked smoother and quicker.

If these two guys can carry the weight then they may help solve the interior DL problem in the future.
