'24 AL EDGE Jordan Ross (Tennessee)

Rivals hates Tennessee!
ESPN's metrics don't make any sense either. the 24th best player is only rated an 89?

it also shows how much top end talent Alabama somehow has. On3 has him as #7 nationally, but 2nd best in Bama; 247 has him as 9th nationally, but 3rd best in Bama. and the average is #20 but 4th in Bama. it would make sense for a Texas/Georgia/California/Florida kid, but Bama? always a little shocking.

ESPN just seems to never update their evals, and since On3 has emerged Rivals has followed suit. In terms of reputability I’d go On3 > 247 >> Rivals >> ESPN

If you even consider espn as a reputable recruiting source, then you have no idea how this works.. they’ve been consistently terribly wrong about recruits for over a decade

I genuinely don't have a feel as to how we pulled him out of Alabama.... That never happens for any school when a kid is this highly rated in that state (especially at a premium position). If I remember correctly, Alabama didn't even really seem to be one of his main contenders at the end. Couldn't be more excited. But it's definitely an interesting pull when the variables are looked at objectively.
