‘23 AL OT Stanton Ramil (Michigan St. commit)

We also rarely lose players to Michigan St. I can't name the last one (unless you count Couch, but that parting seemed mutual)
Then you agree Heupel should be alarmed if this kid picks Michigan State over us since it rarely happens.

Rarely happens doesn’t mean alarming. 17 year olds aren’t known for being rational. You’re attempting to look at this from a rational perspective (better program, better conference, closer to home, immediate need), and therefore assuming their must be a rational reason (poor recruiting, lack of nil money, etc).

No this isn’t alarming.

I’ll never understand all the hand wringing and sky is falling stuff over recruits. I follow recruiting for the fun of it. Come start of the season I couldn’t care less what recruit went somewhere else. And in a couple seasons I won’t remember we were in the running for them anyways. Heupel and company have to coach up who they get. Pretty simple as that. Oh well. Different strokes for different folks.

My question is where the heck did Meatchicken State come from? I haven't seen anything remotely mentioning them in this recruitment. Did they just come out of left field?

I agree with this. In about three weeks I won’t care about recruiting just the actual boys on the field. I just follow it to keep me sane in the offseason I guess.

No, they’ve been mentioned as being involved with him for a while. I just think no one here (including myself) really paid them much attention. Who chooses to go to Lansing voluntarily?

Yes, if you can’t have fun then why follow? And never think it’s a done deal. They commit. They sign. They show up. They stay. You can lose them any step of the way.

WHEN we're landing a reasonable representation of highly rated talent we'll be in an undoubtable better place...no debate. Til then, pretty much what you said. Gotta give them something to flock towards and staff turnover doesn't lend to that appeal. We're a wish-washy reactionary lot when judged by the outliers who squawk the loudest.

Actually I think they were a major player before here we were. I think we were pushing harder for the Lucas Simmons, Sham, and Mauigoa. It’s not like they came out of the blue they were our primary competition. Never really figured this was an issue. We’ll see I guess.
