Rarely happens doesn’t mean alarming. 17 year olds aren’t known for being rational. You’re attempting to look at this from a rational perspective (better program, better conference, closer to home, immediate need), and therefore assuming their must be a rational reason (poor recruiting, lack of nil money, etc).

Come start of the season I couldn’t care less what recruit went somewhere else. And in a couple seasons I won’t remember we were in the running for them anyways. I agree with this. In about three weeks I won’t care about recruiting just the actual boys on the field. I just follow it to keep me sane in the offseason I guess.

WHEN we're landing a reasonable representation of highly rated talent we'll be in an undoubtable better place...no debate. Til then, pretty much what you said. Gotta give them something to flock towards and staff turnover doesn't lend to that appeal. We're a wish-washy reactionary lot when judged by the outliers who squawk the loudest.

Actually I think they were a major player before here we were. I think we were pushing harder for the Lucas Simmons, Sham, and Mauigoa. It’s not like they came out of the blue they were our primary competition. Never really figured this was an issue. We’ll see I guess.
