How immediate could Nico contribute?

247's analysis says he this kid would need 2 years to develop into a P5 starter. Tifwiw
Isn't the very definition of a 5 star player one who could start immediately at their respective college?

Yeah, but you're skipping a whole level of football. 5 stars are projected as players who can start in college

Here’s the definition according to 247:
“100 - 98 = Five-star prospect. One of the top 30 players in the nation. This player has excellent pro-potential and should emerge as one of the best in the country before the end of his career. There will be 32 prospects ranked in this range in every football class to mirror the first round of the NFL Draft.”

Recruiting: What do all those 'stars' mean?

Or develop him AND keep going after talent even if other teams want them?
Never said we should stop going after them, I just don’t know if we have done enough, yet, to make feel we’re the best place for success.

How many millionaire coaches are on that 247 staff?
Not every 4* QB, or any recruit for that matter, is always going to be an instant starter. Not a knock, just needs development. Shoot, Salter was something like 70th or 80th and he sure as heck needed to develop.

Very few QBs can step right in day 1.

CV should be #1 on our QB board. He's the real deal. Our (UT) coaches have really increased in their recruitment of him lately, but Dabo has been doing the same as well. Briarwood has a number of Clemson connections, particularly with the football program. So that could be an uphill battle.
