‘23 AL QB Christopher Vizzina (Clemson commit)

He was always highly interested in Clemson don’t think had anything to do with slow playing
I'm pretty sure he was ready to go with us a few months ago before Clemson ever entered the chat and we held him off bc the cali qb... understandable but the slow play could have backfired. We can now whiff on both. If Archie goes to Texas I'd expect you Cali kid to land at Bama. We'd be fighting Clemson for Vizzina.

Could it be said that Clemson slowed played him until being out of the Arch Manning sweepstakes?
Clemson and Tennessee are two separate circumstances. Clemson has more latitude to slow play a kid than we do at this point unfortunately.

There is no proof to that statement lol

Two things you see constantly on VN:
1. People make statements about recruiting that they very likely have no first hand information about.
2. When that's negative, and only when it's negative, certain other people will turn those statements into criticisms of the school, staff, or leadership.

Science.

Now if there are quotes from a player that say, "I wanted to go to UT, but they slow played me, I'm offended and going elsewhere", then please forgive me. Although if they are so easily offended, we may have dodged a bullet.

Depends on where Archie goes... I've never seen one player hold the fate of every other qb by that individuals decision before... it's honestly stupid.
Kid has huge expectations to fill. It almost isn’t fair.

1. I'm not negative on this staff at all or said anything negative about them in my above posts.
2. I led my statement by saying I'm "pretty sure" meaning I remember listening to one of the services podcasts and them talking about it but there's also the very real possibility I'm misremembering the conversation.
It's science that knee jerk reactions are commonplace here and it's ludicrous.

We slow played him for Nicholas.

This was offered as fact, not speculation. That's clearly part 1.

I wasn't accusing you of part 2. Only of being fuel for them.

I would state with a good deal of confidence that the offers he stated in the video would be ordered by his interest at the moment. It seems like a Clemson/ND race right now.

Nicolas isn't coming here and I'm not so sure this kid isn't better anyways. I think this is who we should have went after in the first place. But I'm not a QB guru.
I agree. It's fine to aim high, but be realistic. You get a kid like this that you can wrap up and you do it. We're going to mess around and see it play out like it did with our instate group this year.

But if you say he was slow played, your outrage against the coaching staff is validated. That can be important.

I don’t know anything about him being slow played. I don’t know if he has or not. I was saying he has been interested in Clemson before he even blew up so he has legit interest that doesn’t come from if someone slow plays or not

I’m not too worried about a QB in ‘23…..
Got Jackson this year and find a guy in the portal for ‘23 season.
I’d put the emphasis on a ‘24 kid……just me.
