'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

how likely do you think that is? i mean...Tua is ridiculous. Taulia could be 70% of that and still be really good, and not live up to that.

My original point was that Taulia will be the starting Alabama QB in 2020. Someone stated Bryant's grandson could be the starter. I don't know much about him or his potential.

If I was ever offered to put money down on a successful business for the use of my name, I would jump at the chance just to walk in the door once a month to pick up my check. I doubt he even does that much with online banking....

It’s just like all these honky tonks on Broadway. The singers don’t do anything but have their name attached to it, show up every once in a blue moon, and draw a check. Must be nice.

Visiting this weekend...

QB Taulia Tagovailoa

Tagovailoa, a four-star prospect from Thompson High School in Alabaster, Ala., who’s the younger brother of Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, has been committed to the Crimson Tide since April. But he already has visited Tennessee twice this year, and the Vols recently have continued pursuing him. He’s now scheduled to make the trip again this weekend for an official visit to Tennessee. For many, the idea of Tagovailoa playing for anyone other than Alabama seems a bit far-fetched. But he’s also intrigued by the opportunity to make a name for himself somewhere else and perhaps go head-to-head with his brother in college, and he and his family have built strong relationships with Vols coach Jeremy Pruitt’s staff over the past several months.

He will be here recruiting for Bama.

Nah, he's got no reason to do that and him and his family highly respect Pruitt. He's come several times on his own dime. I think he still ends up at Ala but there's definitely legit interest because of Pruitt. Plus Ala doesn't need committs to go recruit for them at other campuses. It will just depend on how much carving his own path means to him. I fully expect him to end up in Tuscaloosa but TN and maybe LSU would be the only other 2 that he would consider. The VQ Mods have been saying for 6+ months there is legitimate interest in TN because of CJP. Still I would be shocked if he didn't go play with his Bro. Some people don't realize how close Tua was to transferring out of Ala. He wasn't sitting behind Hurts for another year or 2.

Tua nor his family were happy about how the QB competition was handled dating back to last season. There could be some some thoughts about it happening again with Taulia and Tyson. Especially with the Great Grandson of their former Legend HC, who has a statue in his honor. Not to mention the power Paul Bryant JR has. Paul's Dad, Marc is Bryant jr's nephew and helps run one of his businesses. And Bryant bank is heavily involved with Trustee's and most things that involve the. University of Alabama. Taulia and his family may not want any part of that potential situation in a few yrs. Not sure that won't lead to some drama and problem's once that QB battle starts. Ala definitely don't want to piss off Paul Bryant Jr and the power he has. He was the one behind USB shutting down their Football Program a few yrs back. I can Definitely see why Taulia and his family are exploring and keeping their options open. Paul Tyson has mentioned he wants to go the school where he's the the #1 QB. It's far from a guarantee that Taulia signs with Ala, but will still believe it when I see it. Paul Tyson's connections go much further than the Tagovailoa's or anyone else's. Plus Tyson has just as much talent and potential as Taulia or anyone else they bring in for the QB competition.

Paul Tyson could definitely be their next starting QB. Some services have him rated higher and he's got the size and every bit as much talent as Taulia or possibly even more. I could see Tyson being the majority fans choice and the one being pushed to the front of the line, so to speak. But Paul Tyson could very easily win the job regardless, he's that that much talent and ceiling.

Agreed. I mean its the first week in October and its likely Tua has the Heisman won. He is playing better than any QB and its not even close. Even expecting half of Tua is insane.
We've only real seen "half of tua" haha. He hasn't played much in the second half of games.
