'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

Saban wants to keep winning, and Tua is the best QB on his roster. He's not going to let Taulia's choices get in the way of his relationship with Tua. That would be sheer stupidity, and as much as I dislike the man, I don't think Saban is an idiot.

Maybe I should've worded differently. Not so much about what Saban would actually do and more about what the family fears he might do.

A counter point is that Saban has never built a team around a star QB, probably intentionally. It will be very interesting to see if he even lets Tua be the star he clearly could be.

Lol..yeah probably, but don't act like the VN inflater mob is not a real thing. If you diverge from the accepted view a little too much, you get the tar and feather equivalent. I am not saying it isn't justified sometimes..I will own my sometimes pessimistic foibles, but people go overboard the other direction too. I wasn't as bad as I am now till late last season. Watching Vandy, Kentucky and Mizzou treat us like toilet paper made something snap in me that I am just now starting to pull back from.

I don’t know man. 90% of us have made negative comments at times, even the sunshine pumpers. I was extremely critical of the coaching staff after the Florida game last year up until butch was fired, but never felt like anyone was attacking me for it.

Imo, it has to do with a pattern of posts moreso than a negative post or two here and there. If most of your posts are negative, or worried about this and that, people are gonna view them a certain way.

That was going to be my point. There are negas and there are pumpers sure but its the repetitive quantity that starts to get on my nerves. Like the same thought 10 times a day. There are very few who tend to do that though which is a good thing.

The fact that players of this caliber are even considering Tennessee now tells me all I need to know about the quality of our new coaching staff.

Yep, I was at the point of not coming on here anymore. Was going to take a long break until the season, and just watch the games on Saturday. Now, it’s full steam ahead and I’m on the Pruitt boat!

ALL ABOARD!!

The glass is half ___?
a) Empty
b) Full
c) Both

The correct answer is C. What you dwell on doesn't define the reality, but it does reveal something about you.

It reminds me of the guy who gives a sexual answer to every Rorschach picture a psychiatrist shows him. After a while the doctor says "Interesting. You are really interested in sex, aren't you?" and the patient replies "Well, you're the one that keeps showing me the dirty pictures".

We've all answered 'a' at times, but negative people dwell on 'a', and in some cases even enjoy it. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I wonder how Saban would treat Tua if Taulia defected? Given that there were rumors of him bolting Bama if he were forced to continue sitting behind Hurts, things may not be as awesome there as it seems. Maybe daddy T is driving it, with an emphasis on allowing Pruitt to prove he can get it done at UT, while dragging their feet long enough to get Tua firmly established as Bama's starter before announcing any change in commitment. Just a thought.

I posted some (factual) information a few pages back that is contradictory to your "thought." You can check my post history if you care to read.

I may get crucified for posting this but this really depicts the Tago family, their faith, and how close they are.
TUA | Homecoming - Part 1: Tua Tagovailoa returns to Hawaii for first time since championship game - YouTube

Side note, Jalen "Hertz" is scheduled to graduate in December and with the new redshirt rule and grad transfer rule, this would enable him to play a little while, still redshirt if Tua beats him out, and keep 2 years eligibility and transfer if need be. Combined with the 2018 qb they picked up 4 weeks ago, they may not be desperate for a 4th qb.

TL;DR
Tago family do everything as a family, even college decisions. Jalen "Hertz" doesn't have to leave or decide this year when he can RS, graduate, then transfer. Bama is good at the moment on QBs which may help woo Taulia to UT for playing time.
