'22 AL RB Quinshon Judkins

Point me to the source for that. Interesting.
Brad Logan, probably the best Ole Miss reporter there is, has been hinting at issues all year with Judkins (and family). As for the Peach Bowl, There is a clip floating around where Dart calls timeout out of the blue, heads to the sideline, and starts complaining to Kiffin. Some went back and checked out the game and a couple of plays before that, Judkins was seen being very animated with the offensive line. That’s not slam dunk proof of anything, but it is interesting. On top of that, the juice kiffin twitter account (his dog), which is run by Kiffin’s family, retweeted a guy who was basically saying that’s what happened.

Also, a little bit after Judkins entered the portal, Dart posted on instagram a clip Tom Brady talking about people who are “about themselves.” While they might be a great player, Brady says he would rather that kind of person play for the other team. Again, nothing is certain, but it’s pretty obvious that there were issues going on with Judkins.

Getting 21 carries per game is actually a detriment to his future. He could go to Bama and practice against a bunch of future NFL players and then get 12-15 carries per game and be golden.

In zero aspects is Ole Miss better equipped to prepare a player for the NFL.
In regards to one specific player, who has already been at Ole Miss for 2 full seasons, and had success? I disagree. I also disagree that the extra carries are a detriment.

Yet they just accepted a commitment from Baron, who threatened to leave one year and finally did the next due to wanting more money. Is that not also being all about himself?

Or does that designation only apply to guys who transfer away from Ole Miss?

Maybe it’s something else?

Ole Miss accepted his commitment after the Grove Collective came up with the money needed. I don’t think they consulted Jaxson Dart about the possible transfer. I doubt he has any idea of what Baron has done in regards to him trying to squeeze more money out of UT.

I'm not as high on Sampson as some. I just don't see him as a strong tackle breaker but more of a scat back.
He has a lot of Kamara similarities, IMO. He will definitely need to improve his pass blocking and running between the tackles, but he's a potential game breaker and super dangerous out in space. He'll need to try and get above 200lbs this off season too carry the load of a full SEC schedule though.

Baron for Judkins? I'll allow it. Heck, I"ll embrace the heck outta it.

Sampson is a good back. He has time to get better because he's still young. Before Kamara there was Charlie Garner as far as similar backs.. Garner may have been better.

Judkins and ole miss came to an agreement on the NIL part awhile back that’s not the issue in this one. The issue is Judkins and those close to him have become insufferable for the ole miss program including the players. Dart their starting QB didn’t even want this kid out there with him it’s gotten that ugly.

Dumbass.

Garner ran like he weighed 230lbs. Based on the limited sample of Sampson, Garner was definitely better. Still time for that to change.

Looks like it was pretty much a mutual decision. Judkins wants more NIL money than Ole miss is willing to give him so he’s looking for greener pastures. From the Ole Miss standpoint it looks like Judkins was becoming a bit of an issue. Apparently during the Peach Bowl Dart asked Kiffin to take Judkins out because he was screaming and belittling the offensive line. Ole Miss people are saying there have been issues with Judkins ever since the Tulane game this year.
Another example of how important a good "fit" is to a team. One bad apple can, indeed, have a major impact on the barrel. Having said that, this is not a RB dominated game anymore....at least in college. Don't watch the NFL so that might be a different story, but I can't remember seeing a ton of RBs hopping into the portal. I know we run the ball a lot here, but it's kinda by committee. We don't "feature" anyone outside the QB and receivers. That's the college game these days. Judkins might just want out. If so, I'm sure he'll find suitors if his price is reasonable. If it isn't, he might find himself in a bit of a bind. Let's be honest...a kid gets a rep of being disruptive PLUS a portal jumper and that's gonna turn some folks off. I'm guilty of getting a bit too worked up over the portal at times because I'm desperate to give Nico the tools he needs, but even so, I do look at these portal jumpers with a good bit of skepticism and questions. If they're so great, why are they running somewhere else? Rhetorical I know. You put your name in there and I'm seeing it as a bit of an unflattering brand you've taken upon yourself. Should be fun watching Kiffin navigate this one if your posts on Judkins are accurate. Sounds like our Baron situation on steroids.

It's about time that Lane finally lost one! Surprising on the surface, but it makes sense that Judkins wants to go someplace where he isn't leaned on in the run game as heavily as he was at Ole Miss, to show pro scouts his versatility, and also to be part of a RB rotation. It would be a surprise if he didn't end up at Auburn.

He'd be a phenomenal fit here in CJH's offense, but our RB room is already loaded with young guys ready to explode, and we have much more pressing needs with our limited available spots.
