Alabama lost coaches Bo Davis, Kirby Smart, Mel Tucker, they lost a bunch of guys to the draft, and they have no QB. You simply can't shake things up that much and expect to perform just as good or better on the fiel the next season. Alabama is on it's way down already.

DD's said something similar the beginning of last year. How did that work out for Bama?

I get it. You just started watching college football within the last six months or so. That being the case, your ignorance of the past decade can be forgiven. However, I suggest doing a few simple Google searches before you post. I mean, I understand that you haven't watched long enough to know any better. But others will simply see it as butthurt-inspired nonsense.

You're biased, I get it. No bama fan wants to read about their upcoming tribulation. I'll simply look past the child in you that's clearly coming out to play right now.

Yeah because this scenario is so unique since Saban has been there. I've been hearing Alabama is on "the way down" since 2008.

Be honest, if the roles were reversed, you'd be laughing your ass off at any Alabama fan making the claims you are.

The only reason they won it all last year was because they were playing a down SEC. That and we didn't have Shoop last year.

Actually I'd almost bet if you searched, he's probably made this same post in previous years.

I've never once made this statement openly and I'm only doing it now because it's time. I am a realist and it's time for you to get real. Pull yourself out of this defeatist attitude you are relishing in right now. BTW, if your name wasn't VolsSportsFan I'd be putting money down right now that you were a bama fan with how you are carrying on in this thread.

I'm not DD's and this isn't last year.

The FPI had Tennessee ranked 14th before the season last year. It had Clemson ranked 19th.

4 plays and we're 13-0 last year like Clemson.

FPI ain't perfect but it wasn't too far off on Tennessee being real good.

It missed Clemson being great. But then again so did everyone. They started the year outside the top 10 in both the coaches and AP poll.

I am sure the Gumps will have a fine team this year. I wonder what the over and under in Vegas will be for coaches fired and players suspended for recruiting violations.

It's hilarious you accuse someone of being a child and then you pull out the "WAH! You don't irrationally hate Alabama like me so you must be a secret Bama fan".

And I guess you're accusing several of being closet Bama fans, because if you didn't notice, I'm not the only one that thinks you're FOS.

I agree with you, but keep in mind 1 play against south Carolina, 1 against Georgia, and maybe 2 against Missouri and we're 5-7. It goes both ways. We somewhat broke even in those "crucial" plays last year. This year I hope we win more like 80% of them.

I can buy one play against UF, OU, and Alabama, but the Arkansas game was more than just one play.

I'm not sure what one play would have won it against Bama, unless you're talking about a 70 yard heave in the final minutes.

Dobbs fumbled on 2nd and 24 with like 1 30 left, Alabama ran out the clock when they could easily have scored another TD ... so you got it, not seeing 1 play just Medleys missed FGs wasnt there like 3 of them ?

It was a 5 yard illegal formation penalty, followed by a 9 yard sack, followed at the UT 21 by an 8 yard sack and fumble at the UT 13 with 1 minute left in the game.

Tennessee had another timeout still, so had there not been a fumble, they could have at least stopped the clock ... but on what would have been "3rd and 32" from the Tennessee 13, the Vols would still have had to go 87 yards with about a minute left in the game and no timeouts left.

Several others made comments about me being silly yes, but you were one of the more persistent ones. I'm still trying to figure out why you're coming to Alabama's defense even after I pointed it out. Are you lacking in faith for this season's Vol team?

I'm not sure about one play either but we were 5 points from tying you all, and 6 points from beating you in your own house. You should be worried.

Saban was playing it safe by burning off the clock. It was the smart move though.

Hurd or Berry could have done it. :)

Are you also trying to figure out how messageboards work? You know, how when you post something, another poster can respond to what you posted?

My mistake though, because obviously you have the mentality and emotional temperment of a 3rd grader.

:)

Tenn had about two and a half minutes left to get the job done. Great teams do great things in less time. Great teams don't get shut down on the LOS and the ball taken from them to boot.

Only one great team making it all happen that day.
