I thought that point was still understood but that he was saying [hating them aside] that "we're in no position to actually trash talk" though

My goodness I really hope we return to good soon; it's really pathetic the depths some of our fanbase is going to trying to trash talk our rivals. We've become what we made fun of in the 90s; talking about how we USED to whip someone, trash talking a rival when someone else beats them, and constantly thinking pointing out to a rival fan that they are posting on a Vol board is apparently the best we got.

We're getting very close to reminding me of Vandy fans pre-2005 when they would actually celebrate the anniversary of the 1982 UT game.
