Alabama message boards meltdown

interesting take. I'm curious to what time period you think beating them was ho-hum? I've watched this game in person (legion field many times) and Tuscaloosa plus home every year since 1980 and never felt leading up to TSIO was a ho-hum game. Please share if you don't mind.
Well we won 9 out of 10 from 95-04. That’s about the only time period to choose from.

According the Bama fans I am around his hiring was approved by Saban. So Saban may also have a say if and when he is fired. He doesn't want his choice to look bad. As other posters on here have said, some Tide fans are just delusional in thinking the high level of the Saban run can continue.
Anybody can answer this question. Who are they going to hire? Seriously, if you fire a HC even at Alabama in one year, there will not be any takers. Yes, it is a premiere job, but seriously you will not have many knocking on the door unless they are needing a job and that is a coach you don't want. The NFL? Not worth it. I could recommend Pruitt. Saban would have to come back to get the ship uprighted, but that is not going to happen.

Can't recall watching Finibaum show thi long in quite a whiel...but listening to the crying, angry Bammers has been quite a treat. "Legend" had the remark of the day: "DoBoer is like going to bed with Beyonce & waking up with Whoopi Goldberg". Gotta love it.

Legend meltdown....darn hilarious 😂
That was an epic rant for sure. Bammers getting a dose of the new reality. Some fans have their identities too wrapped up in the performance of a danged football team. Love the Vols but not enough to go on a rant like that or let it ruin my year. Of course I got conditioned with 15 years of abject misery so that might have something to do with it. 🤔

Have you been to Alabama? That football team is all they have

You must be on the younger side?

Alabama has been more than relevant for a bit more than the Saban era.

And prior to Fulmer, we had another big streak against us in the 80s.
Don't forget the 70's streak. It was rough.

Bama fans, most of which have never seen the inside of a UA lecture hall or classroom, hit their zenith of delusion under Saban. They feel entitled to win, and to do so at a high level. Unfortunately for them football, and sports in general, are cyclical. They had a historic run under Saban, the likes of which we’ll likely never see again. The fact of the matter is, this was going to happen after Saban retired no matter who they hired. I’ve said for sometime that whoever takes the job after Saban won’t last 3 years. Why would you follow the legend? Money…that’s it, because it’s impossible to ever measure up to the Legend. It’s going to be a long painful road for the Tide fans coming back down to the reality of being just a competitive SEC team. They’ll never have another run like the Saban era.

The real good news is that Georgia has teed themselves up to suffer the same fate soon. That worm is turning too.

If they get rid of Deboer after three years even, when Deboer has been successful at every previous stop, Bama will become a pariah for the coaching profession. No one would want to take that job to deal with that unless they're looking for a payday.
