Alabama vs. Michigan

Herby was talkin about Bama's schedule and said "Tyler Bray and Tennessee looked very very athletic!"

Herbie has been talking highly of us all offseason. I like it. No way in hell we beat these guys but it won't be a massacre either. Bama looks damn strong. OL is by far the best in the country. That stable of RBs could be even better than LSU's.

Im with ya on that, you think theres a chance Yeldon could win the Heisman? Lol

No way in hell? Never know what will happen on a given day

Not just any day, any play. Look how close Michigan QB came to being put out for the season when he tried to tackle on his interception.

A few random thoughts:

-Al Borges came in with an absolutely terrible gameplan and it showed. Denard is a run-first QB. Why in the world do you throw it 15+ times in the first half all the while giving Denard a grand total of three carries?
-I don't think Alabama's as good as this game showed (although their offensive line remains outstanding and so does their running game as a whole), but maybe the talk of a 2010 repeat was a bit premature.
-To be honest, I didn't care that much about this one because I was pretty confident in a Michigan loss (and this is the major downfall of scheduling a big opponent) and it almost looked like the team had the same attitude. A bit disappointed/unhappy in that aspect.
-This is why I hated the "Michigan's back" talk after last year. You don't go from the worst 3-year stretch in program history to "back" in one year, people. If they win 9-10 this year and get to a BCS game next year, then they might be "back".
-Hopefully, this is a good wake-up call and Michigan regroups to win the Big Ten. However, there's some serious issues on both sides of the ball that's probably going to prevent them from even winning their division.

I think you are underrating Alabama a little bit.

Also, this was a terrible first game for UM. Basically a new front seven, plus no Touissant=recipe for disaster.

As will every team we play.
Don't get too cocky yet. Bama's offense looks to be better than last year. Michigan wasn't a test for the defense though. Robinson can't pass and if he could just a little they might have hung in there better. He should have been running more. Michigan played right into their hands. They were big, slow and lumbering. That's big 10 football in a nutshell.
