We're doomed. With no run rule in effect, we have no way of limiting the embarrassment. Only question is which game will be our worst....the opener vs FSU or the game in the losers bracket. Silver lining is Vitello and co. can really get busy in the portal sooner rather than later.

For real though, I don't feel good about Friday ... at all. Hoping it's just latent BVS.
No reason to feel that way, it's just more icing on an already well iced cake. 55 wins, SEC Regular Season Champs, SEC Tournament Champs, Regional Champs, and Super Regional Champs is a hell of a season regardless of what happens in Omaha. I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest..........

[With apologies to Leonard Cohen...]

A Tennessee fan with BVS is not a pessimist. I think of a pessimist as someone who is waiting for it to rain.

A person with BVS wakes up feeling soaked to the bone.
A pessimist has a family name of Downer! Either Debbie or Donnnie or Deva-stated or Des-perate. They all have the dreaded syndrome of the "sky is falling" continously. They are not De-lighful...

Y’all need to get a friking grip. This article is the same crap people (Vol fans included) have been saying all season, yet they’ve won 55 games and are the #1 overall team. I think the home run argument is a weak take. Who’s to say this team can and won’t play small ball if it’s needed? It’s not like they weren’t knocking them out of other parks too. No one has beat this Vol team twice since March, so worst case we drop game 1, I have full confidence in them coming through the bracket and getting it done.

Agreed. The argument made that Tenn is only dominant because LNS is small is so lazy. Our record on the road is still outstanding we lost one SEC series all year and that was the first one. Also how can one take shots at the pitching staff and a top 5 ERA when LNS is so tiny. This team has shown they can win hitting the long ball. They can also win with pitching. It’s baseball so no guarantees but I like our chances

I also don’t really like the shots taken at Beam. Yeah he hasn’t been his best lately, but to completely write him off is insane. Contrary to what this article says this is a very deep team. If someone is having an off day there is someone there to pick it up. D1 baseball says this is the most complete team in the field and the results prove it. I don’t care what the idiots of ESPN think. They are notorious for terrible takes. They can all go touch grass. Go Vols baby!

For me, the win over Evansville was as big as the SEC regular season/tournament championships. Big pressure there because the 22 team did not make it. Yes, it would still be a successful season but that loss to a 4 seed is all that would be remembered. With a win, that monkey is gone and we can get on with the business of winning a championship. I think the pressure release of winning that game will propel this team to great heights.

Evansville had the potential to be another Loyola-Chicago. Putting away the teams you are greatly favored against is important, especially in crunch time.

Our 2022 football loss to South Carolina will fade some with time, Manning losing to Memphis, Fulmer and Wyoming and Butch Jones and Ga State are the ones that sting.

I don’t know any other game in Michigan history, but I know Appy State beat them at their house.

Losing to a rival or an equal team stings, losing to weaker teams can become infamous.
