Going to come off as a hater here, but as i watch Ron Washington bumble through the post game press conference it got me to thinking, who is the worst manager ever to coach a World Series team?
Captain Ron has to be in the top five.
I don't understand this argument. Does HGH help locate better, spin your breaking ball better, and think better?
After sleeping on it, the following are my thoughts on this series.
1. Key players did not step up when it mattered.
2. After Tex went down the entire mood changed. First time I've questioned the heart of a team led by Derek Jeter.
3. The bench is not as deep and talented as advertised.
4. Bullpen is a joke. Until guys can start to locate on a regular basis they have no business in pinstripes. Radar gun be damned.
5. Phil Hughes is at a crossroads. He needs to step up and learn to pitch, or be prepared to suck when he faces a disciplined team at the plate.
6. Depth and strengthening the pen are big offseason priorities.
7. This team, sad to say, looked old. Jorge is a sore spot behind the plate and at the dish.
8. A-rod still frustrates the piss out of me.
9. The approach at the plate by most of the lineup was an abomination.
10. Congrats to the Rangers. They dominated and deserve to represent the AL. But the largest congrats goes to Josh Hamilton. Hope he gets a ring to culminate his comeback story.

How about:
1. Any short postseason series is a bit of a crapshoot.
The best possible teams in baseball still only win 60 percent of the time, so why should we suddenly expect the cream to suddenly, inexorably rise to the top in a short series? The Yankees are a better team than the Rangers; the Phillies are a way better team than the Giants. It basically means nothing that both the Yankees and Phillies lost. All you can do if you're a team with limitless payroll like the Yankees is assemble the best team possible, and they do that. They've had the best record in the AL in about half the years of this decade. There's nothing they can do that will magically guarantee that they'll win 3 of 5 or 4 of 7 against anybody.
During the AL Championship Series games in New York between the Yankees and Rangers, fans were extremely rude to Kristen Lee, spitting and throwing beer in her direction and shouting obscenities, according to USA Today.
