"Without a doubt, Alden Hill has showed up huge this spring," quarterback Nathan Peterman said. "Y'all need to be talking about him the most. I was on scout team with him last year, and to see his improvement from last year to this year is unreal, really.

"I think it really comes down to his work ethic in the weight room. He's there every night, doing extra steps and getting his steps right and doing all his runs. I'm really proud of Alden and really happy for him, too."

Though he may lack breakaway speed, Hill is a bruiser who's shown an ability to run between the tackles and doesn't shy away from contact.

bUTch doing the work and he has the kids doing the work too.

We're now hearing about the Hill on the hill and that's a good thing to have another kid working hard and making solid progress.

Coach em up and we'll provide the cheers!

The last time we had a RB with something to prove it was Arian foster. ... Todo bad he was proving his point in the NFL and not the SEC

I can't recall a Spring practice when the best runner of of the Spring didn't go unheard of the next season. I think it's because they don't want to hurt the guys who are going to be playing. I hope the Hill is the real deal.

Would be nice to have a power type back for forth and one situations. Last year, I called it forth and done. How many did we miss last year in those situtations.

Ya always hear the thunder before you see the lightening.

??????????????????????????????
Though I know what you really mean, the above statement is misleading, scientifically speaking. Light travels faster than sound. You will see the flash before you hear the thunder.

While thunder can startle you, really give you a fright;
There wouldn't be no thunder without that spark of light.
Thunder is most scary when it's rumbling and grumbling in the dark,
But thunder just can't thunder without that lightning spark.

Ugh.... So true.

Sometime between 03-07 I think there was a kid the showed out every spring but rarely saw the field in the fall. Hard working kid who majored in Nuclear Engineering. Can't remember his name for some reason. I think it started with a Q.

Edit: David Yancy?

Maybe if the OL had something to prove his SR year everyone wouldn't act like it was all his fault when he was getting hit in the backfield half the time.

A bruising back that can gain the tough yards is something Tennessee has needed for far too long. If Alden can fill that role, I'll be his #1 fan. (homo if you want it to be)

I think you will see him playing especially in the second half of games. We don't need him to have breakaway speed. Just need him to break tackles and run north and south. Him or T. Smith will fill that rile
