...or injury...or unregistered guns...or Mary Jane...or injury

In which case you could burn Yemi's redshirt if you felt it was necessary.

Or if Kenny isn't gone, you'd still have 4 post guys even with yemi redshirting. As said already in this thread though, oriakhi won't be allowed to come here anyways.

Got a friend that's a UK fan that's saying Oriaki is going to UK...

Don't see that happening.

In fact it can not happen. You may want to inform your friend of the sec rule that slive put into effect saying no players with only 1 year of eligibility remaining can transfer to a SEC school.

Typical UK fan though.

^^^This

With Maymon and Stokes starting, and a much improved Yemi coming off the bench, I don't see him going someplace to be a role player.

Do you really think he would sit behind Yemi???

I don't see it. Yemi improved greatly throughout the year, but Oriakhi would be an instant starter here.

He wouldn't start over stokes or maymon; however it's pointless anyways as sec rules make it impossible.

I got a message from team stream app an hr ago. Goodman from CBS tweeted that he was going to transfer to Mizzou. Story coming soon.

I wouldn't mind having him, but it's true that we don't really have a spot for him. And he clearly wanted to go somewhere and immediately play.

This guy has been overrated severely over the past few months... He has a lot of work to do, and probably wouldn't have seen the playing time he wanted at UK. With that said, he does raise the talent level of Missouri's frontcourt.

Fills a nice gap for them.

Missouri has a ton of good transfers who should be eligible this year: Oriakhi, Jabari Brown, Keion Bell (from Pepperdine), Earnest Ross (from Auburn). Also they'll return Pressey, Bowers, and Dixon. They'll have a lot of talent, but chemistry might be an issue. Oriakhi, Brown, and Bell don't have reputations of being team players.

Good that Missouri got some experience at getting owned by Jarnell Stokes for their first year in the SEC.

Seriously? You absolutely had a spot for him and definitely could've used him.

You currently have 2 post players on your roster Noel's & Cauley. THAT'S IT.

I agree he wanted probably a starting spot and that that could've been a reasoning for not picking UK. To say though that UK didn't have spot for him is absurd. There is a reason Calipari was all over him.

Okay, I guess I didn't really make my point clear. Obviously Oriakhi wanted to start and play a lot. UK doesn't have a spot to let him do that.

Wiltjer? I know he's not a prototypical PF, but he's a PF nonetheless. He's fairly similar to Erik Murphy, imo: a great shooter, but doesn't play a lick of defense.

Like I said, Oriakhi has been severely overrated over the past month. He's extremely talented, but he's a project. It's not like he's some dominating force that is going to average 15+ points and 10+ rebounds.
