It's the same slippery slope the party has been on for a while. First it was there is no socialism, then it became well we arent communists, then there was some slight admittance to socialism, then you had Bernie in 2016 shoving the socialist aspect into the lime light. There has been a hard jog left since then, with every major candidate openly espousing views they admit are socialist.

There has always been socialism. It's nothing new.
There has always been movement left. That's nothing new.
The right demonized the term liberal. Once that wore off they changed the term to socialist.
It's the same story. How far left are we moving and how quickly.

Wait what ? So you mean that it isn’t a right wing propaganda story fed to the conservative masses by its media ? That it’s actually a thing and the left is actually moving further left ? That eventually you’ll all come to the same point in what you are seeking ? Shocking I say , I’m at a loss here . 😂

It hasn't worn off. We've been saying for years some of the liberals are socialists. Before they lied about it.

Now they're starting to call themselves socialists.

I had given everyone credit of understanding that there is a natural movement left and that movement is led by the left. That has always been the case.
I'm talking about the "they're going to take all your guns" vs 'they are for reasonable and rational gun regulation" type of BS.
I'm talking about the "they want to make us Venezuela" vs "they are for making health care and education more affordable and accessible" BS.

It's like the left saying "they are all racists" vs "it's the party that white racists choose."

And the answer for many is still " too far". But it's been that movement the whole time. Your side makes the argument to take this small step this time and justify it because it's a small step. Knowing that people wouldn't want more than the small step. But by the end you have taken more than people are comfortable with

Just because more people watch Fox News than the progressive equivalent (MSNBC) doesn't make Fox "the worst." I don't see much, if any, difference between left wing propaganda and right wing propaganda. If you do see a difference, especially a large difference, I think you're letting your own bias get in the way. Both sides have well-organized and well-funded political machines funding their activities.

What you're doing is like the Florida fan pointing at Georgia and saying "Georgia cheats and we don't" or "we both cheat, but Georgia cheats more." Any cheating that the programs do is probably very similar and done at a very similar level, given that they are both big programs with similar resources and are rivals.

I'm not sure propaganda outlets truly influence anybody. The people tuning into Fox News, MSNBC, Breitbart, The Young Turks, are already quite ideological and are looking for something that confirms what they already believe. And collectively, I think right wing propaganda and left wing propaganda is consumed in about equal numbers.

I think what does matter is which way, if any, "mainstream" media leans.

Nope. The criminals will always have, and the law abiding will be punished, and preyed upon because their 2nd Ammendment right to own guns and protect heir home will be diminished. Show me the data of accidental deaths by irresponsible gun owners, and crimes committed by individuals bearing unlawfully obtained guns. Verses crimes committed using knives or kitchen knives or other non-firing weapons.
