I'm really curious as to where AOC got her accent. She was born and raised in the Bronx, went to college in Boston, and then returned to live and work in the Bronx after college. Yet she sounds most of the time like she's from Southern California. If I heard just her voice, I would have never, ever, guessed she was from NYC.
Maybe watched too much Kardashians or something growing up? Regional accents generally are less prevalent than they used to be because everybody grows up hearing how people in different parts of the country talk.
