Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

It's sad when the right has now shifted left right along with the left, and the new right equals the old left.
The rhetoric of the parties has shifted to the edges (conservative rhetoric is more conservative that it used to be, progressive rhetoric is more progressive than it used to be).

The actual positions of the parties as determined by what kinds of bills get passed are much more moderate, establishment, and centrist, just like they always have been. For all practical purposes, there is not much difference between the parties.

I wonder if her handlers told her to start wearing those glasses

OMG I can't believe you went there? I mean she's visually challenged and probably needs a support dog to contend with the heartache she is subjected to each day. She'll probably end up shooting herself in the back of the head twice because of her PTSD.

Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson Visit Ocasio-Cortez to Combat Trump’s ‘Anti-Civil Rights Agenda’

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton visited Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) this week, with Sharpton saying that he and Ocasio-Cortez discussed how to “fight back against the disastrous anti-civil rights agenda enacted by the Trump administration.”

Sharpton went to Ocasio-Cortez’s office on Thursday and effusively tweeted about his visit, even sharing a video of the two of them dancing.

“Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez @AOC and I discussed priorities for the coming session and the newly elected members’ plans to fight back against the disastrous anti-civil rights agenda enacted by the Trump administration in the last two years,” Sharpton tweeted, adding that the two of them “lightened it up a bit and talked about James Brown” after discussing more “serious issues.”

Jackson met with Ocasio-Cortez on Wednesday, and the freshman New York Democrat said “it was an honor of a lifetime” to meet with Jackson and discuss how they could “advance the movement for economic and racial justice in the United States.”
“It was an honor of a lifetime to meet with Rev. Jesse Jackson to discuss how we advance the movement for economic and racial justice in the United States,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “Rev. Jackson’s lifetime of civil rights work paved the way to make lives like mine possible. Thank you, @RevJJackson!”

Now she can be an idiot and a race baiter.

I love how this girl is in yalls head. Makes me chuckle every time I visit the PF and see a thread about a freshman congressman from NY repeatedly bumped up.

It’s not how you think. Ever witnessed someone that’s so stupid being put in a position they have no earthly business being in? It’s comical.

For those of you thinking she's going to get voted out in two years, dream on.

She's the left's version of Donald Trump. Nonsensical Tweets and making the most absurd statements she can, going after the system of perpetual politicians and garnering the absolute infatuation of the opposing party is going to get her reelected handily.

If she doesn't win again in 2020 by a landslide, I'll be shocked.

Depends on if Crowley goes for his seat again or not. He F’ed up and slept on the campaign trail. If he reaches out to the district I’d guess he can win again. The wild card would be how much National money gets thrown towards her. It’s going to be a blue seat regardless so why waste resources?

She has the popular support at the moment.

Why did Trump win again? Because he bucked the system, said what people wanted to hear and was just different than career politicians saying plastic words from plastic lips.

Ok I know you’ve seen the voter turnout this past cycle for that district. She is an anomaly not the norm from that district Crowley was the norm. If he’s done she’s the incumbent and inertia is on her side. If he runs I’ll bet you a steak dinner he wins. We’ll have to revisit in 2020!
