Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Get the Dems on board and get them to set some actual numbers.

They won’t.
Because they and unfortunately the republicans are both in bed with the ultra rich.

All of us making some variation of 6 figures or low 7 get nailed to the cross while those making 8,9,10 figures literally walk away paying pennies on their money and changing the rules to impact them.

Coocoo for coco puffs here is never going after Soros. She’s going after the middle class to upper class....never the elite.

That’s what sickens me.

It is fun to poke at some of the outlandish things she says. It is also remarkable how she went in such a short time from basically being a waitress to now being the most exalted new member of Congress I can remember (and I'm turnig 64 in about 2 1/2 hours), and if she has her way will be helping to pull this country so far Left that anybody who has achieved even a modicum of success in this country is gonna feel like somebody "ran train" on their bank account!

In to be first to wish an early Happy Birthday!

so good on so many levels.

SNL has material here but won't take the bait
SNL won't go after the D party like they do republicans. At most it's kiddy glove stuff.

Now had a republican said they would run a train on someone it would be 24 hour MSM coverage and SNLs first skit after the monologue since the only thing they do before is Trump related now.

I’ve been watching SNL clips from back when guys like Dana Carvey and Dennis Miller were on the show. When they made fun of politicians, it wasn’t as mean spirited and they didn’t seem to protect one side for the sake of the other. It’s sad to see how they’ve changed.

SNL is a product of the change in the environment in what people want from media. The show started when people wanted more down the middle, objective (or at least objective-appearing) coverage. They had a vested interest in making fun of politicians of all persuasions, because that's what the audience wanted.

What has occurred since the advent of cable TV, and especially since the advent of the internet/social media, is the media is able to target very specific groups/demographics, and those groups want coverage that confirms their biases. It's actually a return to a more primitive time of media in a way, around the time when weekly/daily newspapers were invented. They were nakedly partisan, biased rags more akin to present-day tabloids than actual news.
