Good behavior clause:
"The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour ...."
Some have interpreted this to just mean lifetime appointments unless impeached. But I have a hard time believing that if Congress has the power to remove (impeachment) for bad behavior they can't also regulate what constitutes acceptable behavior from the justices.
They could get the votes to impeach that’s just a partisan party popularity vote in the House. They likely would never get the votes to remove from office. It seems to me that if Congress deems a Justice to be guilty of bad behavior, their only remedy is to impeach. No way our partisan Congress could ever muster the votes for impeachment of anyone on the court

Impeachment has become the new censure in DC it’s been cheapened as an effective tool. I can’t say that I even pay attention to impeachment demands anymore.
I remember a far right dude that I worked with spending all day pulling his panties out of his crack over Clinton. His main verbal complaint was “he shouldn’t be in office he was impeached!” and he was dead serious and quite emotional about it.I largely quit paying attention of impeachment during the joke Clinton sessions, now after the Trump witch hunts I find it absurd since it’s been rendered mostly useless. They might as well do Rock Paper Scissors for turns punching each other in the arm, be about the same effect.
Well now that the nutjob shrill Tribe has chimed in I know Alito is likely over the target.
Now tell us about Sotomayor.Alito has always been an arrogant putz. He and the other conservative SCOTUS justices think they're entitled and don't want anyone messing with their corrupt, disgraceful grifting. Conservatives have seriously ethical problems. Rich right-wingers have long been heavy into cronyism. That is their thing.

Speaking of arrogance….remind us all of why Ruth didn’t step down? Oh, she wanted to Hillary to appoint her replacement. Appreciate her service to the bench, but her arrogance swung a seat to the right.Alito has always been an arrogant putz.
