Here is what i think Kiffin thought about Boyd. Is he better than what we have right now? Probably, but he is not a championship caliber QB. If he brings Boyd in, and then signs 2 QBS next year, we have 5 Scholarship QBs in 2010. I'm not saying Body wouldn't be better than what we have, but Kiffin is trying to be competitive with a QB like Boyd. He wants to find somebody that can win a championship.

I don't think we have any championship quarterbacks on our roster right now so what would it hurt to have five qbs? We have five runningbacks why not five quarterbacks? It would help immidietly and he could have maybe developed into a fine quarterback

Rb's and Qbs are not comparable. You play two to three rbs every game. No we don't have any championship qbs but if we bring in two qbs next year and one ended up beating boyd out if boyd could even beat one of the 3 there out, then we would have 3 scholarship qbs that would never see the field. It just wouldnt be a smart move. Boyd could not run Kiffin's offense.
