All hell is going to break loose..

We'll definitely have a lot better chance to win at oklahoma than we did last year at oregon. We can do it.

Why?

Do you think Oklahoma won't be as good as the Oregon team we faced? Will UT be a better team than the one that went to Oregon? Combo of both?

It would actually sound like a logical thought if one were to say "UT has a good shot and if we play well and things happen, we could pull off the upset". I could actually get behind that and agree, what makes the OP absolutely ridiculous is the "Book IT" and the reasoning behind it being because "They are inconsistent as hell, and pulled off 4-5 wins that could very well have been losses to sub par teams". What does that say about us in that we couldnt even qualify for a toilet bowl game?

Clearly you disregarded my strength of schedule point.

the difference is a season like last year happens in gainesville and it becomes clear pretty quickly that there are problems and everyone needs to chill.

some of this fan base (i know not the majority) have seen season after season of this and it doesn't sink in.

a lot of smack was being run about oregon before last season and it has started (again for some) about oklahoma.

the words "tennessee" and "book it" are not a good combination. even when it comes to teams that can't beat georgia southern.

No, The difference is we have had coaching changes out the wazoo and an extremely depleted roster, and we still beat a top 10 team... and UF has a roster filled to the brim with 4 and 5 star talent and dropped one to an FCS school, on top of going 4-8. And what makes it even better is your AD retained the guy who is driving your school into the dirt.

I see your sos point, but please dont act as though OU had this tremendously easy schedule. Even with our schedule, we should have been able to be bowl eligible.

BS

To be bowl eligible, we had to beat Vandy, a football juggernaut, with a roster 10 time less talented than them. We were lucky to even score in that game against such superior talent

Everyone is making them out to be an NFL team playing college ball, if you watched any of their games besides the beating of "invincible" bama, you'd think otherwise. I watch about 3-4 games every Saturday during the season, Oklahoma being many of them. They are inconsistent as hell, and pulled off 4-5 wins that could very well have been losses to sub par teams. This would have put them in the toilet bowl with a strength of schedule that speaks for itself..

I will say that they lost to a Texas team that got absolutely pounded by Ole Miss. Ole Miss is pretty good these days, so naturally we play them this season, but that Texas team was bad.

I get the scathing sarcasm but I still dont know how you typed this.

You ok count?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe their starting QB was out for most of the year due to an injury and came back for the bama game.

I'm correcting you. I watched a lot of OU football last year and neither QB could hit the broadside of a barn standing inside of it all year. Think Justin Worley x 2. To say the Knight kid played outside his mind is an understatement. You guys give this team way too much credit.

More of us being better(inexperienced but more talented). I think we'll match up better vs oklahoma mainly bc of our influx of talent and speed despite the inexperience. Last year's oregon team and this year's oklahoma team will be somewhat similar, imo, as far as how good they are overall. I just think our chances are better this year with an inexperienced and talented team rather than last year with an experienced and less talented team.

We were just straight-up out-matched vs oregon last year despite being more experienced compared to this year. The inexperience will be a concern at certain positions, but I think our overall increase in talent and speed will outweigh that (possibly considerably) especially as the season progresses.

Trevor Knight was injured for the better part of the year. His stats were not good though until the bama game. And if he can play that good against bamas D I'm worried about what he could do against ours.

OU is a damn good team, otherwise they would not have throttled Alabama the way they did.

Thank you, seems we are the only 2 that saw an OU game besides the bowl vs bama

Gotcha... just another way of you in a very subtle way saying that UF is better than UT and Gator fans are better than UT fans. Thanks.

I love the enthusiasm!! It is unlikely to happen. It sure does sound good though!!!!

I felt that way too but a couple of plays from a practice the other day has me feeling better. One was when Pearson went CP on a hitch and went the distance. Say what you will about Coleman but he's not slow... VP is FAST. The whole WR group just looks much better on the hoof.

The other was Malik Foreman. He suddenly looks like he knows where he is... and he can flat out run too. He will contribute in a secondary that has some talent and experience now.

They just look better.

I think the OL as a unit may actually improve.

My two biggest questions are the DL and DC.
