What, in this history of Josh Huepel Tennessee, makes you think we will win by only scoring 20 points? We haven't won a single game scoring less than 30 points since Josh Heupel has been here. On top of that, we've only lost 3 games since he's been here where we score 30+. History tells us if we win, Its going to be a game where we score 30+We are the better team on paper, but I think with this being an SEC rivalry road game at night this could go either way. You never know how rivalry games will turn out. Therefore, it makes sense what’s happening in Vegas.
I think we win a nail-biter 20-17.
How dare you try to bring facts into this discussion! There are several superstitious old maids in this thread who don’t traffic in facts.Florida is an extremely young team. Per its recent starting 2-deep lineup (excluding special teams), it has only 6 seniors and a whopping 20 freshmen.
In contrast, Tennessee will be starting 25 seniors and only 5 freshman (in the 2-deep, excluding special teams).
This is gonna be a men v. boys smackdown.
Florida is rebuilding bigly, and the Utah game was no fluke. I don't care if this game is in The Swamp or on the Moon, it won't make much difference.
Betting-wise, I think our offense will come out with guns blazing. Our OC kept his hand in check during the first 2 games and really didn't show much. Yes, Joe will be airing it out *deep* to Squirrel and Thornton. Plus, with the players-only meeting following the lame AP performance, I think our players will be very, very amped up and focused. Expecting us to look alot more like we did last year with our quick starts.
Got 3 bets going into the game:
TN -0.5 (-185) at halftime
TN -6.0 (+110) at halftime
TN -6.5 (-115) for the full game
GBO.
I took the Vols at -5.5.If I were a betting, I would take FL and the points. With that said, this line started at 7.5 and is now down to 6.5(6 in some places). So the early betting is heavy on FL. I'll be curious what the line does couple hours before game time because that is when the big money comes in. BUT, in saying all this, Vegas doesn't lose money. So when the bet seems heavy one way, Vegas wins in the end.
Go Vols!!
Spread right now is 6.5. I think I’ll take the points but Vols win. Also wouldn’t surprise me to see us double that up. I don’t think they got the horses to run with us. History says otherwise in the Swamp but as it was pointed out to me a week or so back, it’s not the vaunted place to play it once was.
Sometimes the Vegas "experts" pick a team because they know they won't win. Don't forget, they want EVERYONE to bet on the team that loses. That way it is more money for them. Trusting them is like trusting a positive advertisement about the latest wonder drug made by the company making it.
To be fair if you had to pick an underdog play what other game this weekend would you pick? This one is by far the most likely. There's a lot of questions on both sides. Let's be honest a phenomal performance from just one key skilled player for Florida could absolutely flip the game on its head. Let's be honest without Richardson, Young, Rattler, and Bennet all having seemingly career games against the Vols last year our outcome and path would have looked differently and went a lot smoother and this game is not that dissimilar.Mark Lawrence picked Florida to Win, Sports Reporter too, MOF, every Handicapping service has Florida as their Underdog Play; and with good reason considering the stats & trends, Ut has an abysmal record vs uf, even when fla sucks (last year's close game should have been a blowout) and especially @ Uf. Joe & Company CAN change that, if they just play like they are capable. Night game down there with all the loud drunks, going to be a challenge. This game will define Tennessee's season; and more. Hang in there guys and GO VOLS!

Is it a smart bet obviously not. But crazy is what happens in the Swamp.
