All The Vegas "Experts" Picking UF

Pulling for the VOLS with all my might, but I don’t think we get it done in the Swamp.

28 - 17 FL.

We are the better team on paper, but I think with this being an SEC rivalry road game at night this could go either way. You never know how rivalry games will turn out. Therefore, it makes sense what’s happening in Vegas.

I think we win a nail-biter 20-17.
What, in this history of Josh Huepel Tennessee, makes you think we will win by only scoring 20 points? We haven't won a single game scoring less than 30 points since Josh Heupel has been here. On top of that, we've only lost 3 games since he's been here where we score 30+. History tells us if we win, Its going to be a game where we score 30+

LOL cheer up, Tennessee got this and will pick up its first win since 2003 there. The talent is the most lopsided it has been since... wait for it... 2003.

We remember when the talking heads used to say "Get Tennessee now, while you can".

Not only will we beat FL, IMHO, this begins a new string. No "while" just "can".

Team's got dis.

Florida is an extremely young team. Per its recent starting 2-deep lineup (excluding special teams), it has only 6 seniors and a whopping 20 freshmen.

In contrast, Tennessee will be starting 25 seniors and only 5 freshman (in the 2-deep, excluding special teams).

This is gonna be a men v. boys smackdown.

Florida is rebuilding bigly, and the Utah game was no fluke. I don't care if this game is in The Swamp or on the Moon, it won't make much difference.

Betting-wise, I think our offense will come out with guns blazing. Our OC kept his hand in check during the first 2 games and really didn't show much. Yes, Joe will be airing it out *deep* to Squirrel and Thornton. Plus, with the players-only meeting following the lame AP performance, I think our players will be very, very amped up and focused. Expecting us to look alot more like we did last year with our quick starts.

Got 3 bets going into the game:

TN -0.5 (-185) at halftime
TN -6.0 (+110) at halftime
TN -6.5 (-115) for the full game

GBO.
How dare you try to bring facts into this discussion! There are several superstitious old maids in this thread who don’t traffic in facts.

None of the players on this current team lived through twenty years of getting owned by the turds. That’s not their reality and expecting them to live in it and go down there expecting defeat is silly, and annoying.

Unfortunately, I’m really worried about this game as well. With the trajectory of the Tennessee program versus the Florida program… We should blow them out.
But it all really comes down to quarterback play offensively, and really, you could say entire team is only as good as the quarterback play.

For all the incredible things Josh Heupel has done… I just think we are in a bad spot trotting Milton out there.

It really surprised me that Heupel didn’t encourage Milton to look around after that first season. Trevon Jackson could be the quarterback, taking the field for us right now, with two falls, and two spring practices under his belt. I believe if that were the case we would be a lot better today than we are.

But we’ll see. I like Heupel so much because he’s so intelligent and aggressive minded. You can read through the lines on his comments over the last week or so and that he knows Milton has not performed well. You just have to hope he’s doing everything imaginable to have Nico, ready to at least execute a package of plays.

If I were a betting, I would take FL and the points. With that said, this line started at 7.5 and is now down to 6.5(6 in some places). So the early betting is heavy on FL. I'll be curious what the line does couple hours before game time because that is when the big money comes in. BUT, in saying all this, Vegas doesn't lose money. So when the bet seems heavy one way, Vegas wins in the end. 🤔

Go Vols!!

Watching “FineBaum” on SEC Network now..: didn’t realize until now that SEC Network is “on-site” to cover the MSU-LSU game tomorrow.

For me, I think snubs from CBS and SEC Network have a lot more to do with Gators “troubles” vice our VOLS… the real disrespect is first on the “gators.”

All that said, Go VOLS beat the h3ll out of Florida and the rest of the SEC gauntlet… show no mercy to anyone and keep us fans energized!

Go VOLS!

I took the Vols at -5.5.

I’m not worried. We’ll win. They really do suck. I’ve heard it all year from Gator fans and alums. They’re just hype and hope.

Spread right now is 6.5. I think I’ll take the points but Vols win. Also wouldn’t surprise me to see us double that up. I don’t think they got the horses to run with us. History says otherwise in the Swamp but as it was pointed out to me a week or so back, it’s not the vaunted place to play it once was.

Game is sold out, so it will be loud and a challenge. See what The Vols are made of.

Sometimes the Vegas "experts" pick a team because they know they won't win. Don't forget, they want EVERYONE to bet on the team that loses. That way it is more money for them. Trusting them is like trusting a positive advertisement about the latest wonder drug made by the company making it.

I agree, Some of those guys; and ESPECIALLY the talking heads on espn are there to steer you wrong. espn is partnered with a huge online sportsbook. As is our Boy Peyton and Family. Conflict of interest? With espn? You BET.

There has been many years where are UT has walked into Gainesville with the more talented team. And every one of those times, Tennessee has still walked away with a loss. I never try to pick this game. I will believe UT wins when I see it in the swamp. That is the way I feel about this game and the only game every year.

Mark Lawrence picked Florida to Win, Sports Reporter too, MOF, every Handicapping service has Florida as their Underdog Play; and with good reason considering the stats & trends, Ut has an abysmal record vs uf, even when fla sucks (last year's close game should have been a blowout) and especially @ Uf. Joe & Company CAN change that, if they just play like they are capable. Night game down there with all the loud drunks, going to be a challenge. This game will define Tennessee's season; and more. Hang in there guys and GO VOLS!
To be fair if you had to pick an underdog play what other game this weekend would you pick? This one is by far the most likely. There's a lot of questions on both sides. Let's be honest a phenomal performance from just one key skilled player for Florida could absolutely flip the game on its head. Let's be honest without Richardson, Young, Rattler, and Bennet all having seemingly career games against the Vols last year our outcome and path would have looked differently and went a lot smoother and this game is not that dissimilar.

Is it a smart bet obviously not. But crazy is what happens in the Swamp.

Rattler is currently leading the nation in completion % at over 80. If he gets time vs uga, SC could keep it close.

Looking at just QBR, FL’s QB is ranked 13th in the SEC. Milton… 12th. Feel like it’s going to come down to the defense.

I hesitate to think we will easily take care of business in the Swamp, But I firmly believe our players aren't worried about any past UT team's performance down there.
The playbook will open today and our DLine should handle their OLine decisively.
They will get it done.

I also predict they throw at Hadden. How he rises to the occasion today will decide if it is a close game or not.
