Southern Illinois also beat Northern Illinois which is a division above them. The difference is Austin Peay was a good team last year, and Mcneese was terrible. Just dig a little bit and you’ll find out.You know what they're saying on GatorCountry right now?
Southern Illinois scored 49 points on Austin Peay ... Tennessee only scored 30. LOL.
To put it in perspectiveSouthern Illinois also beat Northern Illinois which is a division above them. The difference is Austin Peay was a good team last year, and Mcneese was terrible. Just dig a little bit and you’ll find out.
Like with any new regime, I am not going to hold our current coach responsible for previous losses, and as for this week, I don't think our two preveious games can be used for trend analysis. All kinds of potential outcomes out there, based our performance, their performance and the guys in the stripes performance. A bounce or a call can change the momentum and if it does, it does. The LSU kickoff last year for example...... I will be looking for an early score off a turnover or a special teams play.i've said it before and i'll say it again. i think the vols are the better team this year, but we have to start winning more consistently before i feel confident about going into environments like the swamp and tuscaloosa and coming out with w's.
I disagree. He was a step behind because it was a PERFECT THROW. I think our Dline is better than Utah's. I like our RBs more. Going to be an interesting game to watch for sure.Even that 1st throw TD should have been picked off it the DB hadn't of misjudged it. However, they were playing against a 3rd stringer and I was not impressed with Utah minus Rising. I think UF played better than they are given credit for and most of their wounds were self inflicted. They had multiple penalties on 3rd down and I believe they only scored 3 points on 3 or 4 red zone opportunities. I still like UT to win but that said---if we let UF stay close in 1st half that hope UF has of winning turns into belief.
I am not putting anything either way because I fear you are right. My thought here is how can we pick Tn to win down there until we prove we can actually do so? I have seen too many ways we have lost games down there. That being said, Go Big Orange. We vote with our dollars. You can talk about beating FL all day long but will you put your money where your heart is? Vegas is build on "homers" who blindly bet on their team to win. I'm a lifelong Vol fan but I'm putting my money on FL. We aren't going to beat the spread......
Yessir. What this team needs is some kind of early quick and easy score. Something like a pick six or special teams return for a TD. That would put more doubt in UF and their fans plus ease pressure on Milton and the offense to do something early.Like with any new regime, I am not going to hold our current coach responsible for previous losses, and as for this week, I don't think our two preveious games can be used for trend analysis. But this week is the first week I think is valid for prognostication purposes, but it will still only be one data point.
That's strictly the mindset of a fan, though. It has nothing to do with the players, who don't know or care about games played when they were children. We have talked a lot about the 2015 game on here, and to someone over 40 years old, 8 years can be a fresh memory .... but to a 19-22 year old? 8 years is ancient history.I am not putting anything either way because I fear you are right. My thought here is how can we pick Tn to win down there until we prove we can actually do so? I have seen too many ways we have lost games down there. That being said, Go Big Orange.
I'm so sick of this stupid hostile environment crap. Tell them to turn on the tape of Tennessee versus LSU last year.
Also, while they're at it, Tell me about the first round quarterback they have still on their roster as well as any offensive lineman they have starting who will play in the NFL.
Then tell me how many defensive lineman We will have in the NFL
