APR has nothing to do with grades or even academics. A 4.0 and 2.0 GPA are the same when calculating APR. Simplified: each scholarship is basically worth worth 2 pts, you get 1 pt for being there and 1 pt being eligible. Even if your player flunks you get a point as long as he stays in school. APR is a measure of attrition more than anything else and given the number of coaches in the past few years, I'm surprised we're still above the cut line for this year. Fixing it ain't gonna be a problem since it has little to do with grades despite its lofty title.
