All things STOCKS

Yes. The cheaper it gets the less crazy it becomes as an investment. It isn’t going to zero. Bitcoin can still get to 6 figures in the next year or two. I didn’t say less crazy as in not volatile. I said less crazy as in it is more viable as an investment since it has pulled back. It would still be crazy to allocate a huge percentage of a portfolio into crypto. Less than 5% is about as far as I would consider. But I’d maybe let it run if it appreciated to 10% or more.

Nothing should happen with this from US, and there is not much new happening. I have a friend from there and many Ukrainians want Russia there. Crimea? Many speak Russian. Seems like a time for Ukraine to divide.

I getting my info from my friend who still has family there.

Yes, I don’t think the US gets involved here other than offering words of support. I do think even though the US will not play a big role in what happens there, it will send the markets lower temporarily if Russia invades. Just another headwind for the markets. Who knows how long.

If you were ready to jump in, What about those 2 companies was more appealing than many of the other good companies that have experienced a significant pull back?

Crappy market is crappy.

Still haven't bought anything this year and the rest of my holdings are crap. IWM is down about 15% from it's November ATH. I think there's more to bleed. Maybe February will be worth it when people get their tax returns.

I'm still liking Disney at this price, but I just can't trade in this market.

Same here. Used about 5% of cash though.
Actually, closer to 3%. I was including bonds as cash. The reason I have so much cash is I see neither bonds or stocks as a good buy. Also retired, and main concern is capital preservation. Have held bonds and sold stocks . Finally an entry point.
Of course equities could go up 10,000 points this year.

Yeah, in unique position here as spouse has left her job and 100% in cash for her 401k and Deferred comp plan (she got lucky there for sure). Finally got it rolled over and trying to determine how much to move from cash each day.

Biggest volume day in SPY since late March 2020 and the biggest volume of the move down so far. Combined with the intraday reversal, probably indicative of a bottom (today's low) that lasts for a few days.
