The US has very restrictive rules at the moment, 2-28. CDC is very slow to change, but I'm hoping we drop the test to enter the US for vaccinated people. Is there news suggesting this will happen? I don't think international travel will change it's policies any time soon from what I'm seeing, at least in regard to vaccination anyways.
However, I do think some members of the EU ending COVID restrictions is a great sign towards international travel returning to normalcy. It seems many EU nations are highly vaccinated anyways, certainly much more so than the US is currently.
Things are changing very rapidly in much of the world including Europe. I will be flying to Italy in March, and through today a "vaccine and test" or "test and quarantine" are required. Beginning tomorrow you need to be vaccinated (booster jabs if first two are older than 180 days) or recovered from covid or a negative test.
It appears that the requirements are similar for other EU countries. I will also be in France and Spain.
Hope for an end to Covid. We had a friend die Saturday from Covid. He was 70 and unvaccinated.
