You know how I feel about Disney, nothing will move that needle up. How has PACB performed for you? I know you have mentioned a few times. I love BABA, Im in on that one too, ready for that split.
If you’re a swinger, keep an eye on IFMK today. Good for 10%
Rate my portfolio:
$PACB
$VTI
$DIS
$BABA
$ABBV

Would never buy IFMK unless its post a delisting and the company were to engage in a reverse split to become relisted, but that comes with a lot of intraday volatility. Also, there is no float (one shareholder owns ~50% of float, and limited sharecount to begin with) which increases bid ask. Pass from me.
Honestly, working at a Hedge Fund and managing a portfolio at a HF is 1000x different than managing an individuals money. Only think I would say is diversification is your friend. My PA I own 15 individual names, and numerous ETFs, ETNs, Index Funds, Mutual Funds, etc. With that being said, one of the smartest guys I know owns 20 funds within in PA and reevaluates his allocation every 6-12 months. Common misconception is that all index related funds are created equal. They aren't. Having numerous colleagues that work at Vanguard, T Rowe, PIMCO, Capital, Wellington, etc... I can tell you some places I wouldn't give a dollar of my own money. Some I would trust running all my personal money.
Well, name names/funds.
BABA is one of the names I own in my PA. ABBV and DIS are both very safe names but not names I would personally own. PACB I don't know well enough to opine and provide any value to you all.
Sold it this morning. Up 10% in six weeks.

Well that sucks. Nightly Business Report (NBR) on PBS signed off permanently tonight after 41 years. Maybe it will return without the "produced by CNBC" branding. But right now BBC News is scheduled in the time slot next week.
I miss Wall Street Wall Week with Louis Rukeyser.
You can't be a true conservative and watch PBS. That's unamerican.Well that sucks. Nightly Business Report (NBR) on PBS signed off permanently tonight after 41 years. Maybe it will return without the "produced by CNBC" branding. But right now BBC News is scheduled in the time slot next week.

Actually I think PBS has the best programming by far on TV, and I don't watch the news shows. But I have a very low opinion of TV programming these days.
I'm more in the Libertarian spectrum, but they might be more anti-PBS than the Right.
I haven't caught one lately, but I've seen a few episodes of Frontline that were good. Some Austin City Limits as well.
I was speaking more about shows like masterpiece. I.e. Downton Abbey. Austin City limits is good. Bluegrass underground.
Libertarian? Then you support open borders?
Most libertarians I know won't watch pbs.
Agree. I'm fiscally right, support open borders and drastic cuts to military.I said spectrum. Hard core Libertarians don't agree with all of my positions. Fiscally more right. Freedom more liberal. Not in favor of massive cuts to the military... protect the borders from the world's riff raff. Don't care to police every bit if the world, but when there are threats fighting them "over there" is the desired outcome. Homeland Security/Patriot Act is a good concept, unfortunately the 2 parties in charge have abused the purpose. But this isn't the Political Forum.
