I watched my first Vols game (2010 Vols vs Cats on SEC website) and became a fan instantly.

Can't wait for my third season as a Volunteers fan and as a part of this community. We may have laid an egg each of the past two years, but I have and will forever stick by this glorious team.

The more Vols I watch, the more I learn, the more I want to watch the Vols and the prouder I become.

I may not have much in the way of personal connections to Tennessee aside from my friend who talked me into watching a Vols game, but I feel nervous and giddy before each game. I wish I was born/lived in Knoxville!!! :banghead2:

Can't wait for the season to start, thanks for being such an awesome and welcoming bunch of people, lots of fun to chat to and talk trash with, making me support the Vols even more closely.

Next stop - BOWL GAME!!! Third time lucky eh?:good!:

GO VOLS!

Stephen come stay with me and my English wife in Knoxville sometime and go with us to a game! You get the plane tickets, Ill get the football tickets and the rest.

You will never forget it. Next year I will be traveling to England for thr first time to meet my wife's family. We will be in Ipswich. Her family will get to meet my half-breed daughter (half RedCoat, half Yankee as you guys call Americans). I will be going to a Man U match while there. I already have my Manchester United kit in my closet! Maybe then you could meet us there and show us how you guys party in the motherland!

Congrats on your 3 years mate. Glad to have you aboard!

I'm hoping next year. It depends on if the Packers are playing nearby when the Vols are playing a home game, because I will go with my dad and he isn't interested at all in seeing the Vols.

Tell him to come on over, we'll feed him Tennessee ham, pinto beans and cornbread, peach cobbler and George Dickel Barrel Select and he'll say, what fine lads! :hi:

I'm surprised that no one has said it but a Packer's game is about the only NFL game that would rival a Tennessee game in it's excitement and experience. The college feel is totally different and the big time college games are unreal. An SEC game at Neyland blows away any NFL game that I've experienced. The traditions, the tailgating, the passion, the ladies. It just doesn't get any better imo.

I will donate 10 bucks to the op to send him some Vol gear. I wonder if Freak could do this? Would be neat to know he's sportin the orange and white across the pond. Picked the best to follow my friend. There is not a nicer, more helpful and giving bunch of people in the world as the ones you'll meet from Tennessee. Lets get this guy a gray jersey when they come out and have him take a pic at a famous landmark there! Preferably with the Queen.

Jelly Babies used to teach football....

I just watched several YT vids on football in the UK, and the popularity there. There was a great one there where Ray Lewis surprised a club and showed up, and the guys just absolutely lost their minds.

I had a thought, what if UT adopted a club there? Players might speak there when the chance presents itself, and simple things like sending videos etc, for encouragement and lessons. Colleges do all sorts of overseas study abroad type programs....why not do a bit for sports as well...would be a great experience thing for younger guys who want to become coaches etc as well....

Here in Chattanooga we have a Soccer club (I know their "football", but soccer to me) that has been adopted by VW since they have the plant here, and it's been a great success. The support obviously has been huge.... and while Soccer is not my favorite sport, I have enjoyed watching....

I think some boosters here could do wonders with a club, they are mostly run on a shoestring...and it would be away to spread the Tennessee brand across the pond...

I think it's awesome you found a love for the Vols through some of if not the most darkest times we've had historically as a program. As sure as the sun will continue to rise this program will eventually get out of this funk. It's a hell of a lot sweeter and more fun when we're winning. :good!:

I remember being like that , but the last 5 years I've lost a lot of those feelings but I'm hopefully Butch will bring that feeling back.....Don't get me wrong, I've watched or gone too as many games as I can but it just isn't the same....
