Alshon Jeffrey

Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin and two members of his coaching staff are visiting with Calhoun County WR Alshon Jeffery and his mother this afternoon. Jeffery is considering the Vols along with USC and Southern Cal. He took his official visit to Tennessee last weekend and he will take his visit to USC this weekend. He plans to announce a decision on Signing Day.

The South Carolina official this weekend will be big.

Yup. I think it's a South Carolina TN battle at this point. Hopefully ya'll won't be near as impressive as we were. Oh wait that's right our facilities are better, coaches are better, basketball atmosphere/team is better, etc.

At least you have the home state thing working for you...I just hope that isn't the main factor in the decision.

South Carolina just built new facilities that are top notch. And right now our basketball team is doing pretty good and the atmosphere is great.

yeah i can't see him going to scar though because i mean committing to USCal shows distance isnt THAT much of a factor, but i think hes starting to think that being on the opposite side of the country may be too big of a step. i could see him shocking everyone and becoming a vol on nsd, we need him because the more i think about the less i see us getting brown.

I'd say Scar/UT are pretty even in bball right now despite the head-to-head. If you think the success of the basketball team matters to him then you may be mistaken. We have one of the top training facilities in the nation as well. South Carolina has a better football team at the moment though, which is probably the most important factor.
