Alternative Fuel

How does food get to the stores? How do palces get heated? Farms run? Etc. In case you missed it, our whole economy is severely dependent on fuel. Work ethic has nothing to do with finding methods of trucking goods across country, etc.

If gasoline were cut off in this country, the last place I would be looking for food would be in a grocery store. I would be hunting for my food.

So what do you tell the millions living in urban areas who do not redily have the means to do as you say? And where does work ethic play into that? Plan on living on meat? Tree bark?

I tell them they should probably purchase a gun, a cross bow, a bow, etc. When the gasoline dries up and their comfortable way of life ends, they should use those legs they were born with and start hiking to find a place that will sustain life.

Actually that would not bother me much. But the overwhelming majority of people would die. That is stupid to cause such senseless death and destruction when something could be done.

It's not like people would die because they're lazy and don't know how to go bowhunting, either. The people of this country couldn't support themselves by living off the land, even if we were a whole country of Rambo-wannabes. As humans learned 10,000 years ago, high populations require agriculture to support them.

Try growing crops without oil-based fertilizers. Try harvesting them without gasoline-driven farm equipment. Try getting food to the citizenry without trucks. You can't feed 300 million people with "work ethic."

Too many pages to read through. But my Dad has a F-250 Diesel that runs on used Veggie oil (And diesel too). Not Biodiesel, but plain grease.

He sacrifices hardly any HP, pulls a 5th wheel RV with it. Look into it if you have the time/money to convert.

Agreed all the way around

I agree that you can't feed 300 million people with "work ethic." However, I am not concerned with feeding 300 million. I am concerned with feeding myself and my family. And, I can feed myself and my family with my work ethic.
