Alternative ways to help Joe Milton take a little off his long ball.

If Joe overthrows a receiver on a long ball, it’s incomplete.

If Joe doesn’t, or underthrows it, sure there’s a better chance the WR catches it—but also a better chance the defender does as well.

Believe me, there are worse things than “throwing the ball so that only your receiver can catch it.”

How soon we forget. He also had some beautiful passes that hit the receiver in stride. His completion rate is 63% with zero interceptions this year. QBR 86

Man you had people claiming he needed a wildcat package, some ever saying he should just get some playing time. He has thrown some beautiful deep balls this year before Vandy. He also got Hyatt on one on the first drive against Vandy, and Keyton also dropped a perfect pass. A rainy day with swirling wind (as they mentioned several times on the broadcast) is not an optimal condition to throw the long ball. Let's see how he looks in Miami before we worry about it that much.

Well, how about we put one of these on his, his you know what, his ummm, throwing arm. Yah, that's it, throwing arm.

Brainstorming here.

What about if we plaster something like this onto Joe's right arm? That might reduce the 90 yard throws down to 80.

I honestly think he might just need glasses or contacts. Wasn’t it Deshaun Watson who just found out he needed glasses a couple years ago?

Running schemes to open up passing lanes more! I watched & analyzed some of his old videos last night. Big physical QB like Tebow but better thrower & runner imo. If Josh can scheme around Joe's ability and boost his confidence even more, I believe Milton will settle into those overthrown balls.
