she was also working onBoth good points. If we could pick up a foundational 25 hs recruit, esp one as elite as lNyla, on the heels of starting to score in the portal, that would be huge for the new staff. The hiring of the two SEC level asst coaches cannot be overstated.
God bless Sam. Loyal to the program and players as she could possibly be. She's a good one and I hope she lands somewhere that will be really great for her,
True, but looks like Latham plays big. Not really a perimeter player or 3 pt shooter. And a really good rebounder, over 7 reb per game. Which will really help fill the void of Rickeas 8 or 9 rebounds per game.In case you haven't noticed 6'2" is not a "big girl" in the world of D-1 women's basketball anymore.
We can thank Coach Sam for this departing gift (among more to come)...she has been working on this one even when she was on her way out
Tubner closed her on one visit. If I have my way it will be Nyla
She plays at 9:30 today

good question,,,well winnerscircle, aka, @House|RockyTopI love an on the spot commit. Hope we get one from Spearman and hope we get a visit fm Nye soon.
But who maide the initial contact w Latham and set up the visit?
She is 6'2, but she played a lot bigger. There are at least two traits I see in her which are required for a player to be the best she can be. Confidence and outstanding athletic ability. Our attitude appears to be outstanding and she is a team leader. My goodness, I guess she is a lot better than I first thought. In case you haven't noticed 6'2" is not a "big girl" in the world of D-1 women's basketball anymore.
Like Destinee and Jewel did last year?Facts!
Watch the fans on here will start to move the goalpost as usual.
We need recruits to announce their commitment once they arrive and step out of the car lol.
She averaged 1.3 blocks and 7 rebounds per game. I’d say she is plenty big for a forward position in a fast paced offense and defense. Very good pick up with 3 years to play. She is 6'2, but she played a lot bigger. There are at least two traits I see in her which are required for a player to be the best she can be. From what little I have seen of her play, she has been well coached for a number of years.I think we got a real good one. Now, we need to get a couple of more and let the off season learning begin. She averaged 1.3 blocks and 7 rebounds per game. I think it’s weird that we try giving out credit…. It’s really simple… This staff gets credit for anything that happens to this program… The old staff gets credit for what happened during their tenure… Sam was a great coach and i wish her luck.Like Destinee and Jewel did last year?
The uber defensiveness that disallows any credit to anyone not current is weird, and not a compliment to the new staff. Good thing this board isn't the real world
Glad Coach Caldwell can close once they get to campus. This was lacking with the previous coach. All I heard was Sam got them here but…….
To be fair, and accurate, former staff had zero problem closing out of the portal. Got Jewel and Destinee on their visits, they cancelled other visits. And of course Rickea x2, just to name a few They were among the best portal closers. It's high school recruiting where they absolutely struggled. This is where hopefully the new staff is way, way better.Even heard it this morning….Sam got her here. Difference, closed here. Upgraded staff already
