Am I the Only One??

We have some real idiots here. BJ's offense work with a pp or dt qb. Bray is by far the best qb we have. JH was a great wr. We would have a real shot at 9 or 10 wins with them back and an improved d. Now 6 or 7 will probably be our max.

Even though I KNOW they are the most talented playmakers on our team, I'm actually happy JH, CP, and Bray are heading to the NFL.
We need a new team to match our new coach. No Dooley holdovers. No attitude problems.
Even though losing these stars may hurt in the short term, we'll be alot better off in the long run. I feel like we've hit the RESET BUTTON on the last 5 years. Plus we will have more pull with star recruits looking for early playing time...V,B![/QU I agree.... Totally!

Despite our personal feelings we would've had a great team and Dooley would still be our coach if it wasn't for our defense. We could've broke our streak against the gators, beat UGA in Athens, and shocked USC.

Make no mistake, we would be a much better team with all three next year, but ill miss CP the most above all others.

+1 :good!:

Come on now All three of these guys were not attitude problems

I don't think we needed a reset button with all this talent out the door but hey TN football will survive this and be better....somehow...sometime
It's a I've been a fan since 76 and I've seen the good and the bad and the great and horrible yet I keep coming back...Best addiction I've ever had

I think people underestimate how good of a QB we had with Bray. When Worley came in, he struggled to get the offense into the end zone after seeing Bray do it with ease against the same team. Hopefully we'll be okay, but someone needs to step up at QB in a big way.

You must have not been watching the Vandy Game!!!

It's always good when you lose your best talent. Lets all those hungry underrated guys step and and show what they can do. 10-2 next season should probably be the minimum expectation given the hunger and ambition that exists in the roster.

I guarantee Jones wishes they were staying.

This offense is going to be a mess next season barring Peterman or Worley far surpassing any reasonable expectation and Jones unearthing a couple of Patterson's via JUCO.

At least we will have the strength of the team, defense......oh wait, never mind.

What Tennessee starter from the past 20 years do you take Bray over?

I'd say Suggs, Crompton, Stephens, Sims, R Clausen and Schaeffer. I'd take all the others over him.

James Banks and Joey Mathews ? Thats pretty sorry

Only idiots are happy about our three best players leaving. All top 3 round NFL picks leaving from a losing team whose only strength was those players.

If Justin Hunter dropping huge pass after huge pass after huge pass is one of my best players ... great time for a new start. I'll take Rajon Neal over Justin Hunter all day long. That guy has HEART!! I think without Justin Hunter dropping critical passes, we potentially win two more games. Course then we'd probly still have Dooley, so Justin did get us something i guess. Thanks man ... good luck in the NFL!

Tyler Bray might have worked with CBJ ... I"m personally glad we'll never know. But if you honestly think Tyler Bray has the intestinal fortitude it takes to beat Bama, Florida, or Oregon on the road, you sir, are the idiot. That's what it takes to win 9 or 10 next year, and Bray ain't goi it. If he's proven anything at all ... he's proven that. Great talent ... no, absolutely no, leadership skills.

I would love to have CP back particularly in Coach Butch Jones' system.

Bray and Hunter made the right move, particularly Hunter. Bray wouldn't fit in the new system and CBJ would not have dooley'd (put up with) his attitude and off the field issues and immaturity.

So you think we win more games without JH? You obviously live in fantasy land with all the others who think we are better without our top three players. You do realize the O had us in position to win almost every game right? It was the D that cost us. Bray would have beaten UF, UGA, SC, MU and MSU if we had ANY defense at all.

With CP getting extra touches, yes, I think we win more without JH all day long. In every single game you have listed above, Tyler Bray was outplayed by the opposing qb ... every single game. I'm not really buying "Bray" would have beaten any of them with better D. I was sitting in the stands at South Carolina. Tyler Bray has the ball with a chance to win. The defense didn't fumble that game away, he did. A great hit, yes, but it was also one more example of bad decision making. Ball needed to be out of his hands to live another down.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, right? I think Bray has looked brilliant at times, but I also think at times this year he literally looked like he was throwing games. I don't think he was, but I think you could certainly make the case. I thought in 2011, Justin Hunter was the best wideout in the country before he got hurt. In 2012, as the commercial goes, not so much. Today, I personally think we need a fresh start without either of them. I don't think Bray has the intestinal fortitude to win big SEC games, and I don't think Hunter came back nearly the player he once was, and he drops too many passes.

The only people living in a fantasy land at this point are the ones who think if they wish upon a shining star, those guys will come back. We can debate all day about woulda coulda shoulda ... but what is certain at this point is we are moving forward without them regardless of what that parallell universe out there somewhere has to offer.

Who thinks they are coming back?

And if you think we win more games without JH and with CP getting double teamed when getting open and running routes were his biggest weakness I don't know what to tell you. I know I wouldn't want you to coach my team.

hunter- will not miss, because he would have still been playing it safe. he would be saying what if all season and would only have more dropped balls.

bray- will not miss, head case, but a good player. Coach jones would be forced to start him and would have to change his offense to suit Bray and I am not sure anyone could make him happy.

CP- yes, playmaker and never gave up. he will struggle in the NFL because he is a horrible route runner, can not read defenses and does not adjust routes. One more year would have been great for him. Tennessee would a better team just becausee he is such a good athelte and a dynamic player....

that all being said i think there are still some good young players on our team and we will be turning a page offensively and this is a fresh start... i expect pig to be our next Darick without all the head games and bad attitude.

Although i was not wowed with the coaching hire at first, now that i have read up on this staff i honestly feel this might be our best staff we have had since Kiffin. at less i hope......

Headfishspins's comments are accurate imo except i do not believe jones would change his offense to suit bray. I believe he is here to make the changes he believes are necessary to get UT back on top. Also, CP was a big time playmaker on offense and special teams. He had obvious weaknesses on routes and when he ran the wrong route, sometimes that would result in an interception from Bray. When this happened, CP quit on the play and didnt try to track down the interceptor.
