This Frontline program on AI is interesting. Part of it is on China's quest to be on par with the US in high tech by 2025, and the world leader by 2030.

Watching it I couldn't help but feel blessed America has a visionary leader who's fixing toilets, bringing back 1980s light bulbs, and making coal engines great again.

Do enlighten us on how China has been doing so well . What policies do they have in place about companies say from the US that want to do business there ? All you have to do is turn us into a communist country , elect a leader for life and then we can demand that any company that wants to do business inside our borders will have to turn over all their proprietary secrets to us first.

By no means am I advocating we mimic the Chinese model. It will result in excesses that will sooner or later pop.

At the same time is undeniably remarkable the strides it's made in the last 20 years.

My point is that while the communist leader for life is pushing the country to new frontiers, we've got a septuagenarian who wants to bring back the 1950s.

What a F'n moron. "We've got a septuagenarian who wants to bring back the 1950s" Have you looked outside your window lately? The economy is not exactly scraping its knees on the concrete. You liberals are brain dead as to what is in your best interests.

He can't even figure out how to properly use Twitter, much less Silicon Valley.

To be fair, Biden, Warren, Sanders have a similar deficiency, though they aren't talking about clogged toilets.

You couldn't have survived the 1950's. Whiny little bitches didn't exist then.

I can start. My best interest is served by having a potus who is not a horrendously despicable human and global embarrassment.

Not all progress is good . Depends on how you view your world , what you want in life and how you want the world around you to be . Take for example the one like you got , Luther makes no bones about all societies eventual going further and further left . He’s good with that . My point is all societies as they have “ progressed “ have only gotten closer with every progression to their collapse as an empire or a top nation . So naturally I would assume ( if I’ve buying into Luthers theory ) all nations fail and fall because of their leftward progression . I don’t see anyone wanting to go back to the 50s at all , this generation , the times we are living in are the easiest times to live in that’s ever been on our planet . We are living in the freest , non restrictive , most mobile , most knowledge accessible society ever in the our history . How far do you want to “ progress” ? China and Russia have given up what we have for their “ progression “ what are we willing to give up ?

I just looked it up and in 1955 Eisenhower issued an executive order that all toilets must be able to flush the president's defecation down the drain in no more than three flushes.

And that's when they had 5 gallon tanks! Makes me feel better when I take a dump and hold the flush lever down until the tank runs out of water.

Great. Now we are letting babies be born in 9 months? This is why America is not great anymore. This is the dumbest president in history and it isn’t close
