Amateur Hour Continues

Trump thinks he is the white house, the flag, and America, apparently (and somebody please explain to him that the white house is just a building):

I totally respect Rapinoe's opinions, though I disagree with the ways she chooses to express them, especially on such an international stage. She's there to represent the country. I also think she does herself a disservice by refusing a WH invitation. As passionate as she feels, what better way to gain an audience with the President of the United States to express those feelings to him personally? There are plenty of ways to make "statements", but not all of them are smart ways to make a statement.

I also think Trump Twitter bashing a soccer star is ridiculous. I've said time and time again, I wish someone would take that damn phone from him. So dumb.

I am not sure that is the question. Were you influenced by their propaganda against Hillary?

Im sure was influenced against Hillary from MSM as they are the ones that covered her speaking engagements when she was in public . What some say is the right wing propaganda machine against the Clintons isn't the complete truth , Hillary’s long time government service has given people a lot to look at no matter what MSM outlet you choose to view it from .

I'm claiming they didn't effect the outcome. Prove me wrong.

I don’t think the first sentence is unreasonable, but:

We have people here who post lists of like 30 people that Hillary supposedly killed. Some of whom died in helicopter crashes and other circumstances that were not at all suspicious. They believe John McCain blew up an aircraft carrier killing hundreds of people without a shred of proof. We have people here who believe the NSA appointed the president to overthrow a shadow government, we have people who believe the government is running a child rape factory in the basement of a pizza parlor that has no basement.

I don’t think it’s reasonable to consider it settled that there was an impact on the election. It would be impossible to prove and there is no proof.

It is still reasonable to look at the stuff people are willing to believe based on a few memes and believe it is plausible that it could have been impactful in an election that was won by 70,000 ish votes.

Stories about Hillary have persisted about Hillary for years. Years. Well before she decided to run for President. Over her political career, she has been tied to scandal after scandal. That's not opinion, it's documented. You can scream right wing propaganda but considering it dates back to a time when no one could have known she would reach a national stage, that makes no sense. Blaming Russia is just a poor excuse for why Hillary lost. There are more viable reasons than "Russian interference", starting with she ran a poor campaign. Someone on the left needs to own it rather than looking to place blame.

An unbiased response would acknowledge the dozens of baseless conspiracy theories that people have bought into over the years and accepted the fact that some people choose to believe internet misinformation.

Is this your way of claiming Hillary was the victim of right wing propaganda? You don't want to talk about the scandals she's been caught up in? I'm not talking guilt or innocence, just how time after time she found herself the center of controversy. And I'm not just talking about Benghazi or her emails. And you want to dismiss that as conspiracy theories and internet rumor? I think you're choosing to keep your eyes shut.

What's that body count up to now? Behind every "scandal" is a right wing propaganda machine telling you it's a "scandal".

lol Didn't say anything about a body count. But you go ahead and turn a blind eye to all her misdeeds. The left can do no wrong. It's always right wing propaganda. One thing is for sure, the Democrats will never be the party of personal responsibility. It's always someone else's fault.

Not sure which discredits your original opinion more: your eagerness to turn this discussion into a referendum on Hillary, your unwillingness to acknowledge or consider the rampant spread of baseless conspiracy theories, or the apparent partisan motivation for both of the above.

Oh, I have tried to get you to tell us about those misdeeds before but you always come up short.

Not partisan at all. I've never denied despising Hillary. I've stated it on more than one occasion. It's not her politics, it's her.

But your deflection seems partisan to me.

How many murders do you believe the Clintons orchestrated?

😂 3 posts in and you’re still talking about a person who was no more than an anecdote in my original post. So who’s deflecting?

I don't know that the Clinton's have killed anyone, but I do wonder about some of the more mysterious deaths that have surrounded them. If someone dies somewhat mysteriously or unexpectedly, do you not have questions? But I'm not going to say the Clinton's are culpable.

So, you wonder about the mysterious deaths... Do you also wonder about the Trump campaign's over 100 contacts with Russians and the subsequent lying about it. Or does this not spark your curiosity?

Oh, I have tried to get you to tell us about those misdeeds before but you always come up short.
Well, there were the accusations of insider trading, travelgate, filegate, Whitewater, the disappearing records that mysteriously reappeared years later, falsely claiming that she came under fire, having Vince Foster's office cleaned out before it could be sealed by the FBI. I'm sure there are other things, but those are the things I remember off the top of my head. And all of those were before Benghazi and her emails. But of course, much like Trump, she wasn't found to be guilty of any of it. But like you said in the other thread, that doesn't mean she didn't do it, right? Plenty there to help shape people's opinions, though.

Thanks for illustrating how propaganda has worked on you.

It comes down to whether I think Russian interference helped Trump win. I don't. America was presented two bad choices. I voted for neither, but given how I feel about Hillary, I'm glad Trump won. I don't support Trump. I do support the office. He just happens to be the current occupant. What I really support is better choices, but having seen the field, we're not getting that.
