Amateur Hour Continues

This is who he is. Until he stops being rewarded for his behavior, he's not going to change.

The best I can see here is an attempt to minimize the fact that Trump--the current president of the US--didn't do anything that perverse because some unnamed politicians somewhere at some time in the past made a racist statement.

It also presents a false choice: We're either going to have Trump or these terrible nameless politicians from the past.

All the crying from the left hasn't done anything to stop him from being himself.
Don't read his tweets if he gets you that upset. Learn to live your life not trying to change someone.
Great advice except his tweets affect things going on in this country. No one is crying we're simply responding to communications from the potus. We simply want to be represented on the world stage by an adult

What are these tweets affecting other than your feelings? Nothing he has said so far has had any effect on me.

He uses twitter to conduct policy, his tweets affect a lot more than just feelings. Here’s just from his first year:
Donald Trump's Tweets Really Matter. These 27 Examples Prove It

In Trump’s first year in office, tweets from @realdonaldtrump have cut the cost of an Air Force contract, undermined White House messaging, forced federal agencies to rebuke them, stoked a congressional investigation, spurred the former director of the FBI to leak a damaging memo, possibly led to the appointment of a special counsel, created new legal trouble for the White House, announced a new military policy to the surprise of the Pentagon, upended a Republican plan to gut an ethics office, nearly derailed two bills the White House backed and been cited by multiple judges ruling against the Administration on several issues.

So a little question: Did Trump say anything about countries or was that something CNN did to stir the sh!t? They all represent some pretty messy places ... all in the US.
He absolutely did. The word was used in his tweet.

Your but Obama and but Clintons don't have that kind of affect.

Seriously, whenever I see a post by you, I already know what it's going to say.

I think what you are attempting to say is that "truth" has to be politically correct or way left of center, but you don't want to be honest about it.

He's the freaking potus. Quit playing stupid social media games like a teenager and realize the focus will always be on him

Never stopped Obama from being a fool in from of a camera or handing out gold medals like pop tarts to his Hollywood idols. You didn't complain about his lack of respect for the position. You may even have been one comparing Bush to a chimp, but without commenting on Clinton's lack of respect for the office ... and probably the furniture and subordinates.

Handing our awards like every other potus before him isn't the same as insulting people and praising murderous dictators on Twitter. Only one is below the office

I'm not beholden to a party which your hypotheticals seem to imply. My views are in this forum if you're truly interested in reading instead of guessing

OK, he did. It did not stand out to me when I quickly read the twit in a post on VN. And I absolutely believe anything on twitter should be considered a twit ... along with the person twitting it.

How quickly the left forgets Hillary Clinton's own racist comments in trying to sway the black vote. Oh noes! Moral equivalency! But...but... Trump's the one that made it okay to make racist comments.

The sad thing is you guys keep telling me it's not about politics when you won't even acknowledge your own side has engaged in similar rhetoric.

What are you referring to, the deplorable comment?

Sure all presidents handed out those medals in more limited quantities ... but look at the categories that Obama doted on ... throwaways vs serious stuff. Personally, I'd do away with the Medals of Freedom anyway ... they are kinda like state memorials for people half the country seems to dislike (to put it kindly).

Who really cares about meaningless things like these? Is this really what you spend your time looking up?

One night after seeing the clown president hand out another award on the news, I decided to look it up ... took all of about 30 seconds.

What effect do Presidential Medals of Freedom Awards have on your life?

Pretty amazing. At least major democrats went on the record demanding Northam resign when the blackface photo came out. As of now, other than Amash, has any republican senator or congressman said a word of disapproval about Trump's tweet?
