Wait CV. I don't agree with the term "systemic". To use that term insinuates that every system from education, employment (EEOC), housing (Fair Housing Act), the military, banking/loans, etc. discriminates against minorities which would make the system inherently racist. That's not the case anymore. You're an attorney, correct? So you know we have federal laws in place that prohibit those practices. I think "systemic" is thrown around far too much and isn't accurate. Sure, racism exists. Always has and will because people are imperfect. The "system", however, has provided government subsidized housing, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, military opportunities that benefit and are available to all races. Need based scholarships are another area where minorities greatly benefit. This term "systemic" is false. If anything, the "system", corporations, businesses, colleges/universities, sports....geez, you name it, have made a huge effort to eliminate racism within the system.
