I dont think that has much to do with it. A guy has only won once out of 4. If he wins its because he was definately better!!!!!!!! I sure hope he does!!!!!

It's even more localized than that. If Taylor wins, that will be 2 winners from Birmingham and 4 finalists (Bo Bice and some girl in the 3rd year that was in the final 12 or something) from Birmingham - one every year except the first year.

The thing that's nuts is that Bham is not really a great music town at all. :blink:

If you're talking about 5 pt.s Music Hall - it's gone. Now it's some cheesy club called Banana Joes or some crap.

The Nick (used to be Wooden Nickel) is a true original but overall for a city the size of Bham, we don't have enough music (new, creative, non-cover band) going on.

I think it's a slam dunk. Every woman I know hates McPhee with a passion. I didn't know it was possible to get that many women to agree on anything :biggrin2:

Personally I don't care who wins it.

I didn't like any of them at first. I REALLY REALLY REALLY tried to like Kat, but her attitude stinks. She is gorgeous, but she isn't all that great of a singer. She is already acting like a diva and she hasn't even done anything yet. The only reason she made it to the finale is because she was always showing her McTatas. There are already enough pop princesses out there, it was time for something different. SOUL PATROL! :biggrin2:

Taylor certainly seemed more gracious than Kat. He comes across as a very likeable guy.

However, he has the Rick Flair "Whooooo" -- GAVol might need to file a greivance.

She does tend to come across as a bit of a diva dosen't she? I do think she is a good singer IF she picks the right song. Her rendition of "Over The Rainbow" was amazing. Taylor is much more versitile though. He can sing just about anything. I think the right one won between the two of them.

Kat belongs on Broadway. She is always dramatic when she sings and its annoying. The facial expressions are too much. I am soooo happy Taylor won. Like my husband said, "I doubt anyone said I wonder what Kat will sing this week". We always looked forward to what Taylor was going to do and sometimes rewind it and watch it again. (DVR) I never watch her twice.

I am not a big fan of the show, and I didn't see a single episode in it's entirety . . . but was it me or did most of the performances resemble what you'd hear at karaoke night?

True. Taylor will be a star. He can do most any genre and be successful. Chris will also be big as the frontman for somebody. I see Kat with a career in acting for some reason, maybe doing a little recording on the side.

I agree and I bet Kat gets nekkid considering how close she came on the last show. Then again even her Mom was showing a fair amount of cleavage. Congrats to Taylor, he did deserve it. I liked Chris but you pretty much knew he was going to rock out but with Taylor you never knew what he would dance badly and sing at the same time. :birgits_giggle:
