American Ninja Warrior

The Caldiero v Dreschel competition was pretty cool to watch as well. 14 feet was a pretty amazing distance to be able launch yourself through the air from a hanging position.

Sucks that they were not prepared to go more than that. Drew was about to smash his face into it every jump, dude was getting some serious air.

Drew clearly had more distance that Issac and would have likely won had they not both broken the contest.

Question - when the heck did they film this? Same night as last season's finals?? Anyone notice the SUN was coming up at the end?

I was wondering why Geoff Britton didn't get a nod for the All Stars; he was in the crowd though. Makes me think the finals, US vs. the World (when Geoff got sick), and the All Stars were all filmed in the same night.

If true, that's crazy. They are not actors - they are freakin' athletes. Without rest they cannot compete at top form.

I used to think Flip was a little egotistical punk who got more limelight that he deserved...part of me still feels this way. That said, he won some respect from me in the All Stars competition. His last mega warped wall run was amazing.

That dude that went to the top of the 35 step salmon ladder was pretty crazy too.

With some of these new guys, I think they need to start testing for 'roids. Unlike the original competitors, some of these guys are starting to look extremely ripped up.

Dreschel is the most exciting ninja and it's not even close, IMO.

As as far a raw ability goes, I somewhat agree. Geoff Britton is another who also, to me, seem on another level talent wise.

Yeah, IDK if he is the best talent, but his runs are reckless and amazing.

But seriously, can we get a Volnation representative on ANW? Does anybody know of great athletes on the board we can strongarm?

Grant McCartney is the closest thing we got right now! From K-town and his Dad played for the Big Orange

I won't be running the course, but you should be able to see me up close in the background next week.

granted, I think I may be wearing my Auburn hat so...probably not the best Volnation representation.

Was it fun to watch or was it boring? Seems like there would be a lot of time spent with no action.

a lot of it was miserable for me, but that was mainly due to other factors. I met up up with some friends outside Turner Field (where the Atlanta runs were filmed) at about 1130. I had just gotten off work and hadn't eaten anything since breakfast, so I was pretty hungry and thirsty the whole time. The night was rather chilly, (low-mid 40s) and most of us were a little under-dressed, so the whole night we were basically freezing. waited in line outside Turner Field for about an hour and a half, got in around 1am. We were able to get front row directly on the barrier behind the 4th obstacle (no idea what it's called), and then spent another entire hour standing around basically. during that hour, every 7-8 mins they would tell us to go crazy cheering and shouting and what not for extra audience footage. did that like 10 times. got to the point where i could hardly make any noise lol didn't really start the actual trials until like 2, and they went on til a little after 4. i still had a blast though. it was pretty exciting watching the contestants run the course and cheering them on and what not. best part was earlier on when they were just getting audience footage, my friends and I started a tomahawk chop. had three cameras directly on us in our faces as we got the entire audience, including host Iseman doing the chop with us. Really hope that made the cut haha

That's cool. Yeah, I've been in a studio audience and they make you cheer so loud, and that's with good acoustics. Those small crowds sound bad outdoors, so they probably were pushing you really hard.

My favorite competitor. Lol His chick was pretty impressive, idk about her benching 200lbs though.

This dude said he came home and his wife had moved his stuff and the kids out of the house? What a ****ing *****. Glad he done well, wish he would have made it up though.

Damn J.J.

Dairy farmer was impressive. Crazy Craver is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Damn Drew is fast AF.

Kind of an easy course compared to last week. Drew and The Beast looked strong though, as well as some others.
