Whether or not Bush violated any international laws, Canada certainly would by arresting him.

Didn't Amnesty International label the USA one of the largest terror-sponsors in the world?

Which law would that be?

No international law enforcement agency or court has issued a warrant for Bush's arrest, nor did he break Canadian law. If they were to arrest him they'd violate a number of laws, not to mention royally screwing up our diplomatic relations.

Of course they're not going to arrest him. Amnesty International is just playing publicity stunt with this. Make enough ruckus and someone in some country might actually consider it.

You have an argument against that?

An argument against what? The United States as a sponsor of terrorism? I find it interesting that Amnesty International is calling for GWB's arrest, yet remains silent when it comes to the fact that BHO has continued the very policies that apparently make GWB a war criminal. It's almost like their claims are entirely politically motivated.

Who knows if we have or haven't? I'm willing to bet the people in charge are stupid enough to do so. After all, is there anything more patriotic in this country than questioning our leaders/govt?

wouldn't the people making the claims have an idea? Of course putting the US at the top of a list like that is an easy way to get a reaction. Who is surprised when a country like Iran takes the #1 slot

Reagan selling weapons to Al Qaeda rings a bell.

so this study goes back 30+ years? Can't see how we're even in the running then

Were they truly terrorists then (or even AQ) or were they the famous lefty phrase- freedom fighters?

We didn't sell weapons to Al Qaeda. We sold weapons and gave funding to the Afghan anti-Marxist movement. The fact that many of the mujhadeen started Al Qaeda doesn't mean they were terrorists when we were supporting them.

i'm going to go out on a limb and say that if/when we give weapons/fund terrorists, we don't advertise it/make a press release.
