Your stadium sounds like a small town minor leauge hockey areana when you play it after every touch down. Minor league = Gamecocks.

I think you should think twice before you use the plural of fan in your post. I for one resent being included in the embarrassing post. Apparently you were too busy to realize that you speak only for yourself and not the millions of Tennessee fans.In fact I doubt that any Tennessee fan stoop so low as to make that post. Totally without class.

Light'n up a bit. This is a fan message board. Have you seen the weekly "official make fun of _____ threads" that are a great VN tradition?

I guess you consider those threads "totally without class" also. Go over to any UGA, UF, or Gamecock message board and you will see trash talk about the Vols also.

Maybe it's just me because I'm old but I still view SoCar as a Vandy or Kentucky. Losing to them is more about how we've fallen.
They are irrelevant nationally.
So are we (for now)

The difference being we've been there and are headed back.

They never have and never will win the SEC or a NC

This thread surprises me, I have went to 3 South Carolina games in Knoxville and been treated well and had fun with the Vol fan base. 4 years ago we even had a RV in the Vols RV parking area (only Gamecock fans there) and were treated better than any other fan base I have visited. I look forward to my trip on Saturday and I hope the board is no reflective of a change of Vol culture.

That doesn't mean your program isn't a joke. We don't hate you because in the grand scheme if things you're irrelevant.

I sort of feel the same way. There's just something about them that I find hard to take seriously. I don't think they suck, but it seems like every year the past 5 years or so they're thrown in the Top 10 and still end up at best going to the Outback Bowl. I never seriously take them as an NC contender or really even an SEC Champion contender.

They have their moments where they seem like they could take that step but they always seem to follow up a great performance with a subpar one, plus it seems several times they start out very well and fall apart about the halfway point of the season. It's also strange to me Spurrier can't recruit a great QB; he's never had one at SC.

They are definitely beatable. That doesn't mean I think we actually will but I won't be surprised if we do either. And as weird as it sounds, while it will be a good win obviously, because of my above stated viewpoint, part of me is not going to feel like it was a "big" win (even though it obviously would be). It's like the 2009 game, I still don't see that as that big of a win.

Op is correct. I hate how they try to refer to themselves as USC. They are So Car. The real USC has tradition. That is almost as bad as Texas trying to be UT.

South Carolina's football history is a joke. UT having 5 losing records in 8 seasons is even funnier. Powerhouse programs do not do that. Just FYI so you do not have to look it up, South Carolina has 0 losing seasons in that time period.

I am sure recruits really care about success of programs over 10 years ago when they were in elementary school
