Looking at our current recruiting classes, apparently they do.

You always know when it's USC east or Vandy game week because someone always comes here saying tradition doesn't matter.

UTe has had a horrible tradition over the past decade for sure. With all of that said, I didn't come here looking to pick a fight. It just seem the rhetoric of TN fans have changed a lot over the past 4-5 years. I always considered them to be a step above most other SEC fans.

I guess losing year after year will do that to you. I get it...I've been a Gamecock fan for a long time.

In the past decade TN has won the east twice. That is than the gamecocks have done in their entire SEC history. There is a huge difference in being down for five years and never really being up there. Tbh tough USCe is one of the few sec teams I don't hate.

And as weird as it sounds, while it will be a good win obviously, because of my above stated viewpoint, part of me is not going to feel like it was a "big" win (even though it obviously would be). It's like the 2009 game, I still don't see that as that big of a win.

Having said what I said, I really don't have any ill will towards SC or their fans for the most part. I think SC could be a program that contends for an SEC championship somewhat regularly, but for whatever reason it's not really happening.

The only thing that makes me mad about SC is the 1992 game.

Um, care to say who our 4th loss was to? Last time I checked, we beat Austin Peay, Western Kentucky, and South Alabama. We have losses to Oregon, Florida, and Georgia. So, who was the 4th team that beat us?

Good night, some of these posts have me scratching my head. The game is Saturday at 12:00pm Eastern/11:00am Central, not Saturday night. South Carolina is 7 point favorite, and you say they have a reasonable chance? Why would you say that the favored team has a chance? That makes no sense.

Let's try to win with class. Our first signature win in some time and you turn arrogant. USC has won at least 10 games in 3 straight years, was ranked 11 and you act as though we have been the better program for the past few years. As my OL coach would say "
Act like you've been there before".

Funny thing is that the comment is accurate. I remember way back getting beat by SC with Tanneyhill as their QB. That was the crazy Majors/Fulmer year. They came to Knoxville the next year and were VERY confident. Before the game, it wasn't just the normal rival banter at the tailgates. They were downright nasty. Then during the game, even while watching a 55-3 beatdown, they kept it up. Blaming the refs, their poor game plan, tanneyhill had a bad day, etc. ANYTHING but admit UT was just the better team.

I know we have some fans like that as well, but in my experience, most other SEC fans (especially for some reason those who travel to the away games) are much more cordial to each other. In my day, I went to every SEC stadium to watch a game (pre aTm and Mizzou), and there was nowhere I disliked more than Columbia.
