I think you may be reaching a bit.

He may be leading to an appeal for donations. Even if so, is that relevant to his point? That's epitome of deflection to ignore his point with a hypothetical.

I think he's calling out their lack of transparency with collections, the damage to public parks, and filth they've left behind.

Even if Andy Ngo is shamelessly leading to a donations request, will it lack transparency and damage public parks?

Apparently the Riot Ribs outfit was taken over via violence. Strange for peaceful protesters.
Portland had some black guy speaking to the crowd, he said if you're white and here to burn **** down and start trouble you should go home. Crowd was like

There's a small contingent that literally rattle the cage or throw fireworks to get the cops to come out, they throw some gas, the protesters play Imperial March and shine strobes at them, they go back inside, rinse and repeat. Meanwhile half the people present are "press" trying to get some internet clout they can parlay into money, the rest are just there because there's nothing else to do. They aren't accomplishing anything other than fat wallets for all the OT the officers are pulling. And if you see a black person doing the agitating it's like a unicorn. They aren't to be found around this.

What is the purpose of a sustained riot for years? I use the word riot because these events typically involve conduct that (pre-George Floyd protests) would get you arrested in almost every other place in the U.S. whether or not you were acting under the auspices of a peaceful protest. If nothing else, I think the coverage of these events has opened a lot of people's eyes to the fact that none of these cities on the left coast are shangri las, unless you're a billionaire who can afford to live on the other side of a private bridge somewhere.

Seattle Police Chief pretty much tells business owners they are on their own:

Please know that the Seattle Police Department is committed to addressing life safety incidents and calls for service, and responding to ongoing demonstrations and unrest in the city.
Please also know that the City Council Ordinance 119805 Crowd Control Tool goes into effect this weekend on July 26, 020. This ordinance bans Seattle Police officers [from using] less lethal tools, including pepper spray that is commonly used to disperse crowds that have turned violent. Simply put, the legislation gives officers NO ability to safely intercede to preserve property in the midst of a large, violent crowd.
It is important to bring to your attention that yesterday, I sent the City Council a letter ensuring them that as the Chief of Police, I have done my due diligence of informing them them numerous times of the foreseeable impact of this ordinance on upcoming events. The letter is attached for your reference.
For these reasons, Seattle Police will have an adjusted deployment in response to any demonstrations this weekend – as I will never ask our officers to risk their personal safety to protect property without the tools to do so in a safe way.
