Can someone please tell Me why Boyd would even consider Ohio St. ? Why would he even want to go sit behind Prior for 3 more years ? I would like to know what the heck he is thinking ? I know Kiffin doesn't want this kid, but why ? I don't understand, we don't have a QB being recruited this year ? Im confused ?

jay...
You have no clue about his character. He is one of the most respectful teenagers you can be around. By the way... Kiffin did call but no worries... hope our QB situation can work itself out.

Does Lane Kiffin confide in you...or where you hanging out with Boyd's HS coach when Lane called?

I wondered the same thing, man. Boyd mentioned he was looking forward to being able to "compete right away" at OSU. I hate to be the one to tell him, but the only thing he would be competing for is is 2nd or 3rd team reps, or a position switch for at LEAST 2 years. He would redshirt, no question. I think his best fit is Oregon, but thats all the way across the country.

This is stupid. If you read Meat Market it talks about the recruiting process and how coaches evaluate talent and a lot of times their stock rises and falls due to certain camps or games. OK maybe Lane could have had a different viewpoint of him now? So what big deal.

Difference is, Qb's is supposed to be spurrier's specialty. Seems nowadays its just dropping games.

I am sure Kiffin didn't change his mind regarding Boyd after watching one game. Boyd threw 2 TD passes to the best RB in the country running down the field, covered by a linebacker. Boyd is a good athlete and will be a good qb but I am sure CLK watched hours of film before making his decision. 1 game did not change his mind.

As far as Crompton goes, Cutty said he was uncoachable. I think he knows a little about qb's. I would be surprised if he plays again at TN.

Define distinct for your purposes.

Well I was using a bit of hyperbole for emphasis sake about him actually being in the coaches office when the call came in but would put money on him being in that office many times before.
