And so it begins...

they want to run a piece that accuses a presidential candidate of sexual harassment, but they don't want to provide all the details. that is pathetic.

Let's be honest, if these facts were brought up about BHO or any other Dim candidate, the right would be ALL OVER IT. This is an irrefutable fact.

Respectfully, please don't let your politics get in the way of reality. It's an obstacle that he'll have to overcome.

and the left would blame the vast right-wing conspiracy. Based on the reports I fail to see how this is too much of an obstacle

The Politico is accusing Cain of committing sexual harassment? Interesting. Can you provide proof of that in the article? If not, then aren't you doing the exact same thing that you are regarding as pathetic?

it's not. I find it hard to believe than voters would give much credence to a story fraught with such vague details and unnamed sources.

Which is true, also.

Who knows how much traction this story gets. If it continues to gain steam, it'll be something that will be used against him throughout the remainder of his campaign, however long it lasts. Yes, right now it's more of an inconvenience.

Kind of reminds me of the type of material SNL would choose for one of its skits, but they probably wouldn't address this until he's the GOP nom.

Not sure if serious.... :)

I mean, you're giving voters way too much credit. And I'm serious about that.

if this broke 3 months later... but I think they'll have enough time to digest it. A story this weak won't hang over his campaign long enough to matter

So, the left had something to do with paying these two women a massive dose of hush money back in the day?

Bingo

Cries of partisanship on this ring hollow given that it happened before he was a politician.

Good point, and I agree as long as this remains as "this week's news" and doesn't bleed over. I guess it's debatable if it will or not. We shall see.....

just confused why this is a big deal to the left. After all they found a way to get past more substantial stories with Clinton

if the women choose to come out later and speak, it will be a much different story.

What is particularly disingenuous about cain's response is that he won't reply until the questioner identifies the women.

WHAT ? True or not, I can't believe for one second he doesn't know who made the claims and got five figure settlements to leave.

But, he knows they can't speak up under the terms. So, it's a false barrier he has thrown up to avoid answering questions.

Maybe I misunderstood, from the story it sounded like one of the women already identfied herself, likely in violation of a confidentially agreement.

he just went on the TeeVee and said he in fact was falsely accused.

So he's changing it ?

Originally his spokesperson said he had a "vague recollection." Then he wouldn't answer any questions until someone told him their names. Now it's a denial ?

Wow. This is why you hire staff that know what they are doing.

Ok. That doesn't square with what I heard in radio reports but ok.

.... the left has a well established pattern of attempting the personal destruction of anyone who seems ready to take up the Reagan mantle with conservatives. Of course they also have a long established pattern of character assassination against women and blacks who dare step off the left's political plantation.

Double whammy for Cain. He's black and supported by conservatives... he has shown that "teflon" attribute of Reagan when it comes to ideas and policies... so now the politics of personal destruction begin.

Hey LG... its because he's black, right? This is absolute proof that the left is institutionally racist, right?

How in the world can you say any of the candidates running for the GOP nonimation seem ready to take up the Reagan mantel ? That is an insult to Ronald Reagan.

What I read is that his spokesperson had a vague recollection, not Cain himself

Your views become more delusional every day. The left is no worse than the right when doing hatchet jobs. To deny it would be pure ignorance. I should say though, with your propensity to tell the left what they are thinking, maybe you should be a political consultant. LOL

I love how the hardcore conservatives will ignorantly claim Reagan as one of their own, totally disregarding the fact he didn't govern as a true conservative
