Not only is there some sexism going on, I'll sreal a page from the Dem handbook and argue there's classism as well.

"She was the mayor of a town that had 9,000".

I'll take someone with executive experience over a 1st term senator. But hey, Enjoy your sexist attitude.

I don't know? I think the pick for a woman was a smart move, I just would like to know why on earth he choose for the least qualified one? So he could punchline a joke.

To choose one with conservative values to help keeping his base votes. Good lord, do you not understand politics. But it does say something when the veep candidate for the r's gas more experience in an executive role than the d pres candidate.

I still can't get over this. You can't argue about her experience and not say the same thing about Obama. He's the nominee, for crying out loud.

The D's need to keep yelling this, all it will mean is a win for McCain.

I am not arguing for Obama, I am arguing about the choice McCain made.

It's definitely a high risk/high reward pick. I heard Charles Krauthammer the other day saying that he hoped McCain would go "safe" on the VP pick because he was polling so much better than anybody expected him to at this point.

my brother-in-law who is def a conservative and knows his politics, loved that McCain chose Sarah. I'm glad he chose a woman.

And I'm saying if you're going to be fair, you have to criticise both. That means McCain comes out ahead. I'm not crazy about McCain, but it's the truth.

I've criticized Obama quite a bit on this board. I am not a big fan of McCain to begin with but I like his energy plan, I told TT before, if he would put it in writing I would vote for him.

Honestly, I think he got that part right but why not Carly Fiorina or Christine Todd Whitman? Both of whom have executive experience and are stronger candidates. Hell, I would be on here with you guys if it was one of those picks or even Hutchinson (who doesn't have executive experience)... et all.

My brother-in-law is not a fan of Mccain either. He is hoping something will happen to him(after two years) and Sarah take over and be our president for 10 years.
I didn't ask him about other candidates he could have chosen. He was listening to a talk show on the way home from work yesterday, and was disgusted by people calling in about Sarah's parenting, and flipped the radio station off.

That's exactly what I don't want to see happen! But he is right the parenting thing is annoying.

I agree with you, there are a lot of working mother's with children. I also know working mother's with special needs children.

My wife and I have two kids (and she outranks me :p). So guess who takes care of the kids when she isn't able to? That should stop that argument. :)

my sister makes more money than my brother-in-law. He watches them on Thursdays his day off. I know there are dads that raise kids on their own, and stay at home dads, and my hat goes off to them. Keep up the good work.

I better clear this up before my wife sees it. I like to say we share in the duties but she probably ends up doing more, especially on fall Saturdays :whistling:

FWIW, we each help each other out when one of us is out of country.
